Wow, haven't thought of the Ape Caves for a while. I've been there 2 or 3 times many moons ago. Done both the easy walk and the long hard walk. I was even dumb enough to climb out the skylight since I didn't want to hike all the way back over the rocks. Not a wise choice. once my buddy and I got out we had no idea were we were. hehe. Finally found the trail back in waning light scared $&%*less. A must visit.

Nasty little buggers. Found one on me while I was searching for Boundary Butte cache in Leavenworth. Luckily I found it on my pant leg before it had a chance to Dig. Gave me the heeber jeebers. I've heard you are supposed to wear light colored clothing to help spot them. also wear a hat.

What is the controversy over using ammo boxes? That's the first i've heard of the matter.

Just bought a few nice ammo boxes from Sir Plus in Woodinville. Not to bad price wise...5 bucks a piece FYI for 7.62 mm boxes the smaller ones

Dayvi's new cache is a real stinker. I can't believe that someone actually found the second wp. hmmmmm.... I wasted easily two hours walking and driving around trying different combinations to no avail. growl.
