  1. You know what? You are all right! What does that mean? It comes down to personal choices. If you want your choices respected then respect the others choices. There is no wrong way to deal with discovered TB's. Do what you are comfortable with.

  2. The definition of insanity is trying the same thing and expecting a different result: The lure of a free coin (very unlikely in my case) keeps me going on. Need I say more? Sadly, I believe I have lost my mind.

  3. When is my wedding anniversary is?

    You don't remember!

What happens the day before my anniversary?

You know something is up but you can't put your finger on exactly what it is.

What happens the day after my anniversary?

You buy flowers and kiss arse for the next week for forgetting.

  4. Is there anyone that woudl be willing to let me email my idea for a personal coin where the theme means ALOT to me though not entirely related to geocashing but then I guess personal coins you can do that. I am just interested in finding out if this design can be done and how I can get it drawn more professionally to present to minters and then maybe get a price check from venders on the minting both not tracking and tracking for comparison. Briefly the coin honors the 8 weeks I spent in guatemala and the 5 weeks in southern mexico and is also a tribute to the hand full of friend I made while there that made the experience so special. Some day my wife and I plan to move to southern mexico or guatemala god willing and the creek don't rise. It is a buetiful are of the world though very misunderstood. anyway I am rambling. Thanks in advance.

  5. I wouldn't rush on this one. Give it some thought; try to work out a solid link between AA and geocaching.

I am pretty new at this and probably posted prematurely without thinking the idea through a bit further. I guess I just got excited about the idea of potentially havng a trackable coin I can trade with. My Bad! In any case there are already coins similair to the one I proposed so I doubt there would be much of a demand in any realm much less the geocache realm. I am currently trying to think of a good idea for a personal coin that is trackable and a way to make the coin happen as I don't have alot of money to throw at this type of project. I have a couple ideas but I need to explore my options and do more research first on the minting process, etc. Rest assured I will not be posting that idea quite so fast. Sorry for my short sightedness.

  6. Here's some posting help for you Jay.

Front would be the image of Bill W and Dr. Bob with the tracking number

just below the image along with the trackable at gc.com message. On the

top arch within the outer ring around the coin would be "Alcoholics

Anonymous". On the bottom arch within the outer ring would be "Founded

    1935".

On the back within the outer ring and wrapping the coin it would say "To

keep it, you have to give it away" with "Recovery" at bottom center. In

the center of coin it woudl prominently say "Pass It On" superimposed on

a triangle within the circle that represents Unity, Service, Recovery.

Or maybe even superimposed over the 4 color geocaching design.

Use of any particular finish, any enamel etc is open.

  7. Any interest in a trackable recovery coin? I have a rough image but I don't know how to insert it in this post.

Just want to get a feel if this coin would have enough interest to be worth creating. It could be used to hand it off from person to person at conferences and such and watch it travel or dropping in caches.

  8. If the $ isn't a problem, then why not get a bunch made for yourselves and get them placed in caches around the United States or get a contest going of some kind  just an idea, of course!!

The money is an issue or I would already have 100 coins now  But really I only want at least 1 but preferably 2-3 just for events and such. Thanks for the reply.
