  2. I like to see how everyone stores their coins, I had mine all in 4 boxes just before Geocoinfest. Then I rushed out, got some pages and made a binder, now I have all my 1st's in that binder. I also started to make a trades binder, but am only a few pages done. Before I got them all readily accessable I just thumbed tthrough them untill I found the one "I wanted to look at"

One of the boxes was the coins I wanted to give at FTF prizes or spern of the moment drops, and always have at least 5 with me while Im caching-Just in case...and they are usually unactivated.

  3. We keep the newest coins and some odd sized ones in a display. The rest are in 7 binders. Two of those are ready to burst. I need to get a couple more. :D

The binders and the plastic boxes on the bottom hold my signature item collection.

Signal looks so alone and is it just me or does he look a litle bit tee'd off about it? I wouldn't turn my back on him. Where is the Mrs. Signal? :) ok NM me I have been up like 36 hours with a tooth ache and am tired, half dilirous on pain killers, pondering unique uses for a needle nose vise grip, and now talking about signals lack of companionshiip . . . whew . . . I will be glad to see that dentist but it is going to be an interesting 5 days until I can get in.

Anywho, Keep those collection photos coming in, it strangely makes me feel better seeing all them coins. Show off your geocoin collections here in all there magnificance, don't be bashful. I can only dream of ever owning such elaborate geocin collections that I have seen here so let me experience all yours vicariously at least.

  4. My entire collection is activated . . . . . . . . . . . . . of course there are only seven geocoins in it as of today.

I dunno nothing about adoption. Only been at his 2 months and have never even heard of adoption. I guess I need to get out of this coin forum and look around more to find out what that is about. Is thee a topic for adoptions or a thread? Adoption might be a more economical way for my poor arse to build my coin collection to the point that I actually need a container to hold them in. lol That wouild be sweet.

    Peace

  5. Been so long since I received happy mail I almost forgot what it felt like. Its usually mail from someone wanting money (bills). But not today! I got my 2 personalized "All In One" coins today woowoo now I officially have a collection of 7 coins. Nice Job, I am very pleased.

  6. I am currently on a limited income and on a very tight budget. If you have a functional PDA or Palm or whatever they are called just laying around collecting dust that would work for paperless caching maybe you would consider selling it to me very cheap or donating it to me for the price of postage and a feel good moment knowing you made me very happy. :P Anyway I figure it doesn't hurt to ask and if I don't ask I won't know. Thanks. B)

  7. EDIT:: Hey Fox & Hound, show this post to the better half B)

OK OK,, I have to admit I am way behind the game in placing my coins in proper binders. I started with a few 3 ring binders, did not like the way they worked out so I started to to place them all in Tupperware bins for the moment :P Glad to see I'm not alone B)

Plans are to get zippered binders proper page sleves and foam to use for coin cutouts per shape and place in categories , Personal , State, Event, ETC, Have lots of work to do, the influx of coins will make this a continuous chore ahead.

This is where I am at now B) soon to change, This weekend to a coin shop local, and to wally mart for some zipper binders. Glenn

Send them up here to me in Wisconsin I would be thrilled to sort them all for ya B) They would be as safe with me as they would be in the hands of Jesus. :P Would be great to fondle so many coins and see them up close but ya gotta let me log the discoverys on them. Boy would that be a list. :P

  8. I asked the power that be here at Groundspeak about establising a realtime chat room, but they just ignored me I think. B) In any case, they haven't responded to mail inquiry.

  9. I got there before both of ya. Now you can sleep better tonight. :D

Well at least it's some consolation that he didn't get it. That terrain sure was extreme, wasn't it? (The last thing I remember is slogging through deep mud and even deeper icy puddles of water, with no end in sight. )

    Windrose

Yep exactly like WI and MI this time of the year. I saw where you came in and suddenly your tracks just disappeared into thin air. :P That must have been when you woke up. :)

  10. Happy 5th anniversary! Geez you been doing this for a while. Your like one of the original geocachers, whoa! Thanks for helping establish this for the rest of us. I hope I make it to 5 years, only about 4 years, 10 months and a week to go.

  11. I am the mystery that will haunt the minds of cachers for eternity.

Well, you're certainly haunting mine. I had a dream about finding a GSA coin last night. That's never happened before. Even with the Geocoin Fairy -- I really (really) wanted one, but I didn't have a dream about it.

This dream was kind of confused (as my dreams usually are) and included bits from my every day life, but mostly involved rushing and fighting in an attempt to beat someone else (who wasn't even a cacher - but was someone I'm not very fond of at work  ) to a cache where there was a GSA coin.

Very weird, and unfortunately I woke up before I reached the cache so I don't even know if I was able to beat the SOB to the cache and score the coin. B);)

    ;)<_<;)B)

I got there before both of ya. Now you can sleep better tonight. ;)

  12. I keep mine in coin pages inside 3-ring binders. To hold the coins in the coin pages, I bought some foam sheets and cut them into squares the size of each holder. I then cute a hole (or the shape of the coin) and put the coin in the middle. It works really well - the only ones that I sometimes have to slip back into place are the really thick coins (UOTrackers and Magic 8 Ball).

Very Kewl I wanna see more like this. More, I Say More!

  13.

So how many folks in here display their coins, and how do you display them? Inquiring minds want to know!

I stuff mine away in a box only to be seen when I move <_< (I had this posted in another thread so I thought I would shareit here).

WHOA!!!!! I Think I Pee'd Myself Alittle! My collectin woudln't even fill half a page lol. Very Nice! I wanna be like you when I grow up.

  14. Hi,

all All In One Geocoins have been shipped today. And they are still for sale at the Geocoinshop.de.

    Happy Hunting!

    DRunners

We couldn't find anywhere on the order page......Are these coins still personable???

    Please let us know.

    Thanks,

    Kelly & Barbara

    (Are_we_there_yet?)

The coin is listed, but I dunno if it can still be personalized. Maybe send him an email directly to find out.

  15. I fear that if this grows any more it may get shut down. Generic coins with a hole for attaching an item is getting mighty close to being a travel bug.

If they were going to quash us for that reason I don't think they would have approved these. To me it's the same idea; a small generic trackable coin less than a travel bug, only Hogwild's has a hole AND an attached ring for clipping it on things. It's even closer to a TB.

    Generics aren't personalized either.

  16. I see your Tombstone Justice coin, you don't really want that one do you? <_<

Nice display. Right now mine just sit in a rubbermaid container.

I like that Tombstone coin alot too, but will have to remain a dream coin for me. Wouldn't mind even just getting the icon at least if I could ever find one. I have only ever seen one coin in the wild other then the 2 coins I set free. I dunno where all these coins go to but they aren't where I go geocaching thats for sure.
