I really don't know how and why I was selected to receive this wonderful coin, and I feel very honored, really!! Receiving a mystery coin, in such an unexpected way, is something that makes me very excited and happy, willing to share the good news with everybody Thank you very, very, very much, Mystery Sender, whoever you are. Antonio
  5. Wow, congratulations!! Great turtle coin! Very beautiful And I will not hide that I would LOVE to add it to my collection of turtles from around the world...
  6. I've been working abroad, in Germany, for the last 3 months, and about a week or two ago my wife told me that I had a geocoin in the mail. Not surprising However, when she opened the envelope and described the coin to me, I was unable to understand what could that be, since it didn't sound like any of the coins that I was expecting to receive. I thought maybe some mistake in some eBay order... well, since I was returning in two weeks, I just forgot (or postponed) the issue. Today I arrived at home. Then, when I was processing the several letters and packages waiting there for me, there it was, the mysterious geocoin. I understood that I had been granted a very nice gift, and you can imagine how excited and happy I was! Wow, it should be a mystery coin, since my own address was written as the sender. Sometimes I follow the forum, but not that much lately, so I came to look for news about this coin and I found this thread! How fantastic it is to receive such a nice gift without having any idea of why I was selected, what have I done to deserve it, and who was the kind soul that send it to me! I'm very happy because this was a huge surprise and the coin is sooooooo nice. Thank you mystery person, for your enormous kindness!! So the least I can do is to post here some photos of this wonderful coin, and share my joy with all of you! I will also post in a Portuguese forum, because I believe it is really rare that Portuguese geocachers are gifted mystery coins, and all my Portuguese friends will certainly like to see this beauty. Thank you so much once again!
  7. Diogo has been working on this for a while, always keeping secret about how the coin would look like. He just promised that it would be a nice one. And it sure is!! I confess that I was surprised (very positively) with this design, which is full of details, beautiful shapes, and provides a huge potential for color schemes to make it shine Totally different from the 2008 version of the Figueira da Foz geocoin. I tend to agree with the comment above that 150 coins will not be enough for the demand! Congratulations, Diogo!
  8. Thanks Paula, I've added that info in our "museum" :-) Antonio
  9. Btw, does someone knows who designed the icon for the tranquility coin? We are building a kind of "Portuguese Geocoins virtual museum", and I would need that information for this item in the museum: http://trackables.geocaching-pt.net/geocoi...-portuguesas-2/ Thanks Note: Edited for spelling
  10. Hi Borek, I think there is at least another one: Kitchener Ontario I saw pictures of two Ontario coins in this thread :-) Now we're all waiting for your very nice portfolio, with all the (up to now 35) versions together ;-) Antonio
  11. Received my set of 3 yesterday, and they are really, really nice You did a tremendous good job, turlutortue. Congratulations!! And thank you :-) Antonio

  14. Could one of these mystery coins go to Portugal? Who knows....
  15. Can you send me an invitation too, please? Thanks
  16. Very funny cointest! Here go my numbers: 8, 16, 43, 46, 51 Regarding a favorite board game, I should mention Settlers of Catan, which I play very often during holidays. It mixes luck/hazard and strategy, so it can be very funny and unpredictable Good luck to everybody!
  17. Wow!! Great idea. Another Tsun coin visiting Portugal I'll be tracking this one in the hope of being able to grab it and help it move along. Congratulations to FamiliaSilvestre for the (deserved) privilege of starting this odyssey! And good luck for this tsun's Nutella Cache Hopper!
Obrigado.
  19. Amazing, absolutely gorgeous geocoins! I'm particularly impressed by the color combinations. Excellent work. Congratulations Jackalgirl!
  20. This is indeed an easy cointest, and so why not participating :-) I've tried a few times before, in the last two years or so, but I guess I was simply unlucky. Last time I tried was a cointest about Christmas decorations, and I decided to send some pictures in the last day. However, I did not realized the correct ending time, and so the winner was announced while I was editing my post with the pictures I enjoyed to share the pictures anyway, and it was nice to have feedback :-) I must say that I also participated in a geocoin Challenge that was run by Tsunrisebey, which I was able to conclude, and therefore I won a prize. I'm not sure if this is the same as a cointest, but if yes, that I am not eligible as a participant here. Most of all, I find these Monster-in-the-Box coins very funny The one I prefer is the orange/brownish, maybe because it seems more like a real wood box. Cheers, and have fun! :-) Antonio
  21. Very nice indeed! A must-have geocoin! Congratulations! Email sent
  22. Oops, it seems I was too late.... The winner was announced while I was editing my posts. Congratulations to the winner Antonio
  23. Well, and now a couple of photos of the Christmas tree, which also has some handmade ornaments (maybe they are hard to see, but at least Santa is visible in one of the photos). Thanks for the cointest, and Merry Christmas to all! Antonio
  24. This is a nice cointest The photo below shows the 3 wise men, or the 3 kinds of orient (Caspar of Tarsus, Melchior of Persian and Balthasar of Saba), which were home-made They decorate out living room during this season for some years now. We made them out of bread with salt, which was molded and fully dried, getting hard. Then we painted them. In fact, they are just part of the whole scene, which also includes Joseph and Mary and the newborn Jesus, and of course a few animals (these are hard to mold, as yoy can see ) Thanks for the cointest! Antonio
