  1. Ok Now the next question or should I start another post. Who has done the nasty while caching, Well we know about one now dont we Thought about it.....
  2. I was thinking the same thing - all it would take is someone with a chip on their sholder or something to add some malicious code on the device and then as soon as you load it on your machine - it is no longer your machines. I can think of - viruss - malware - spyware - root kits - email the juicy stuff off of your machine to some other location - encrypt your data and hold the encryption key for randsom (been done) - etc. Good idea - but too scary for me!
  3. My problem is that I just really didn't want someone digging through my baggage to see what those items on an xray machine happens to be. I would much rather take them with me in may carry on baggage where I can take them out and show and/or explain what they are if needed. Thanks everyone for your quick replies!
  4. Has anyone ran into any problems taking travel bugs and/or geocoins through airport security on a carryon bag? Things I need to be aware of? Recommendations?
  5. My smaller and/or easier caches I have been using the new George Washington gold dolllars. Those are pretty neat I think. My harder ones I have left a $5 and a $10 Beaners Coffee Gift Cards.
  6. You buy your gas from George Washington? For some reason the people that consider Bush a complete moron also think he's smart enough to somehow control gasoline prices. You are right. How interesting....
  7. Nice looking container but is it water tight?I bet the ziplock that he puts the log in will be. That's right. The container itself is not quite watertight, and the cache page will mention that too! Everything will be in baggies, with spare ones also inside. Good point. I sure would like to see the reaction of someone when the walk out in the woods to find a camo phone!
  8. Thats funny. My wife and I attended a Meet and Greet in Detoit. My sister showed up a bit after it started. After a few caches - she was finding them before we could. Although I don't think she will admit it now - but I think she is hooked.
  9. Urban Micros are great in the Michigan Winter when the kids want to get out of the house and DO something!
  10. Any suggestions if you buy some coins but yet haven't placed them in a cache - is there anyway to "park" them somewhere where they don't show up everytime I log a cache?
  11. That actually violates at least 2 laws in Michigan: indecent exposure (even if you're in the middle of the woods) and littering. Littering?
  12. Do they have the ion battery for Garmins too?
  13. Does anyone know if you create a pocket query off of someone's bookmark list and they add new items to that will - will they be reflected in the pocket query? Thanks.
  14. What does the TOPO do and where do you buy it at for your Garmin?
  15. I live in GR but when we first moved to Michigan we moved to Wayland. I still go down to Allegan on a somewhat regular basis - especially to camp. I enjoy camping down there.
  16. I don't think it was banned. I think they basically gave out this stern warning: "It is imperative for those playing these games to understand that this reckless behavior will be prosecuted under the N.H. disorderly conduct statutes and possibly the criminal trespass statues. Placing suspicious items on private property, bridges, electrical panels to businesses etc. creates a condition that causes public alarm. This conduct can be felonious if it causes the evacuation of a building." Will people pay attention to this? I guess we'll find out... Did anyone " with information concerning these local games" call the police ??
  17. How much memory is in the comptuer? How fast is the processor?
  18. You want both Publish and Retract Listing. Omitting the Retract Listing is a common mistake, which can lead you on a wild goose chase for a cache you can't log. Thanks for the hint! I just modified my notification.
  19. I was beginning to think that I was not going to get one as well. However, it showed up in my mail yesterday. I am very pleased to have received it and oh course very excited to place it in a cache.
  20. I've seen several interesting documents show up with travel bugs. - their mission - a list of the states and/or countries that the bug has visited Does anyone else have any ideas that might be fun for those picking the TBs up? Do anyone have any links (especially the doc that lists the state/country) where the TB has visited?
  21. How do you dump them into your PDA?
