  1. I had a friend drill mine. He used a drill press, a sharp bit, a slow speed and a piece of wood under the coin. They all come out looking wonderful!!!! No enamal lost at all. I gave him a couple of geocoins for his trouble. I just got my big box of acrylic photo holder type keychains in from e-bay. They where about 50 cents each with shipping. Now I just have to print some tags to put in the keychain and my coins will get started on their journey. I had released coins before just in the bifold coin flip with a note on the one side of the flip explaining that it was a trackable item, do not keep, ect - but have had several go missing anyway. I hope the keychain thing will help!!

  2. This isn't my log, but my cachedate Zuma took Da Bloodhound out caching and this was the result.

Bunny Trail!!?? Watch out for the boulders as they may move on ya. They did me and I ended up jamming my left leg down in a hole. Result, Ruptured Achilles and heel fracture. This will slow down the caching I'm afraid. Surgery next week. TFTC though. Injured reserve but I'll play again. Da Bloodhound

Well, this was the 13th find of the day, out caching with Da Bloodhound for the day. I enjoyed this cache location, and the rocks enjoyed Da Bloodhound's Achilles Tendon. While I was too far up the hill looking in potential hidey holes, Da Bloodhound was down at Ground Zero just nosing around, when I heard him fall.

I asked him if was OK, assuming that he was, since I fall almost every day caching and seem to survive it ok. "No, I think I broke my ankle." Well, we spent a few hours in a local ER, and found out that he had torn his Achilles Tendon. Ouch, that has got to hurt. Slowed down our caching for the rest of the day.

Anyway, it is still a nice place to visit, just be safe and watch your step, and yeah, despite the injury, we signed the log. We are cachers, ya know.

Kind hearted Zuma (who is a nurse too) went on to find more caches while Da Bloodhound was in the ER. Da Bloodhound recovered and now has passed me up by a few hundred caches. He doesn't frequent this forum, but does love coins!

  3. I use a different ebay seller:

    http://stores.ebay.com/TOTAL-SHIPPING-SOLU...9QQftidZ2QQtZkm

I get 100 of the poly bubble mailers for $17.96. The service is great with this company. I usually get my order 2 days later. Once, I got my order the next day. They are great!

I would have to agree! I have ordered from them 3 times and have always gotten my shipments in record time!! I think the envelopes are the best you could use as far as not tearing. You can hardly tear them open if you are in a rush to see what coin is inside!

  4. When this project started I was thinking - :o they will make anything into a coin............... But I must say they are sure cute!!! A good job was done on them for sure! I would like to trade for a couple if anyone is willing.

  6. WOW - Twenty trades made just like that!! I am now done trading the XLE Copper CITO Around the World geocoins. I have them packed up and my next stop is at the post office. Thanks to all who made trades with me. I hope you enjoy your coins!! When you receive your coins you will get a sneek peek at the front of my upcoming personal coin. It will be 2", 3-D with colored enamal on the front and a hard emamal back, in the shape of WI. I will post pictures here as soon as the samples arrive.
