First of all I must apologize for the lateness of this post. My life has been running at full speed lately!! Almost two weeks ago I was honored to receive not just one, but 2 of the original Highland GeoFairy Mystery Coins. Number 33 for myself and number 30 to auction for Tank and Tracy. Thanks so much for the beautiful coin, I will treasure it always! Your generosity is greatly appreciated and your beautiful spirit has put a smile on more than one face. Thanks Highland Geofairy!!!

<Content removed by moderator> I was pleased to be able to talk to Tracy earlier this week and happy to find out that these auctions have been helpful in many ways. Of course the funds raised have been useful, but it has also been uplifting to see the support of the geocoin community. Thanks to all who have bid on the auctions and donated coins! As an update, the 4 coin Groundspeak set sold last week for $332.00. Thanks to Groundspeak and all of you who bid!!

I am here . My best friend who is only 38 years old was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to have a mastectomy on Wednesday. I thought I could get the auction up before I went to stay with her, but it didn't work out that way. Stayed with her until I had to work Friday night. She is doing as well as can be expected. I find it incredible that a mastectomy is a same day surgury!!! Here is the link to the auction TnT Complete Grounspeak 4 coin set Geocoin Trkbl w/icon. It is listed as "geocoin" vs geocoins because when you search for geocoin - "geocoins" don't come up in the search. These coins where donated by Groundspeak and the funds raised will go directly into Tank and Tracy's paypal account. Please bid generously!

I received a package from Groundspeak today. It had 4 coins to be listed as a complete Groundspeak set. The coins are the GPS Adventures Maze Minnetrista, a 2005 Lackey, a 2007 Lackey and a Colorado Wherigo geocoin. A pretty nice package and should be a good boost to the TnT Auction fund. Thanks to Groundspeak for showing your support! I will get these coins listed on E-bay tomorrow. They will have TnT in the title and all funds will be sent directly to Tank and Tracy's paypal account. - Robin

Don't Keep Me! tag to help discourage theft of coins
WI_Robin replied to HTTeacherguy's topic in Trackables
I buy PVC keychains (ones you usually put pictures in) on E-bay and make my own tags. I put my e-mail address on one side so if it is lost and found by a muggle they have a way of contacting me. -
Less than 2 hours left!! The 2 coin set is now at $88 and a bargain at that!

This is not exactly a trade, but I wanted to make sure the word got out. For those that may have missed it: Thanks to Tennessee Jed I have an other auction up and running, with all of the proceeds being sent directly to Tank and Tracy. Tennessee Jed Geocoins - 2 Coin Set Everyone please check it out and put your bids in. Thanks Chuck for the great coins for a great cause!! This is a 2 coin set, the hard enamal and the glitter coins and right now it is only up to a little over $20. I know we can do better than that!!

Tracy, Tank, Justin and Hallie - My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I wish I lived in the area - I would certainly give you a hand with that home care issue. We are very fortunate in WI and have very good access to home care and great state covered health insurance for those who need it. Just keep at it, sometimes there are resources available that you don't find out about until you do a lot of research. I will be adding an other (one of the extra Carousel Horse that I bought), but right now I have to run.

Dreams do come true. The geocoin fairy, weary of flying in the cold and snow, used the postal service to send a little magic my way. As I opened the envelope and pulled the beautiful coin out I swear the air got a little warmer, the sun shone a little brighter and I think the snow even began to melt. Maybe now spring will finally arrive to WI . I guess I was meant to start a collection, up until about a month ago I released all of my coins. Thanks so much for this beautiful coin Geocoin Fairy. It will forever be a special part of my very small collection. You really do bring a touch of magic to the geocoin world and the world in general with your special touch!

The force is strong here in WI as well. In with the usual mail I found an envelope to me from me; I wonder what this is? I was surprised to see that it was a Geocaching Jedi coin. I guess I decided to start my small collection of coins just in time - until about a month ago I released everything. I had to agree to co-own it with my 6 year old son. His caching name is "Dark Raider", because he has a little speech impediment and mom didn't understand that he wanted to be "Darth Vader" Him and his brother love to play Lego Starwars and have regular "light saber" fights. Thanks from both of us for the awesome coin Geocaching Jedi!!

Thanks everyone for bidding. The grand total on these auctions is $802, which was sent directly to Tank and Tracy's paypal account. Thanks also to the people who bid on the couple of coins I had up for auction - it will help pay the e-bay fees and shipping for the donated coins .

The 2008 Lackey and the 2006 Midwest GeoBash Volunteer auctions end Saturday - the others end on Sunday. Don't miss out on your chance to get some rare coins and help out a good cause as well!

This is what is says on the order form: "This coin is intended to be a personalized guitar coin. If however, you choose to NOT have printing on your coin, your bill will be reduced by the set-up charge of $25." So I am assuming that the printing set up fee is $25 - that would be a pretty steep add on for a couple of coins!

I guess I am a real Nerd because I have added 2 more colors . Now I have 4 colors of version 2 available if anyone wants to order some with their name on. Those are: (black nickel) glow in the dark 1 (silver) R-Y blue (gold) black glitter with white pantone swirl (black nickel) rainbow glitter with bright pink pantone swirl Send me an e-mail if you want to be added on to my colors for some version 2 coins. I have 300 or so coins out traveling. I have a friend who drills holes in them for me and I attach a tag stating that it is a traveling geocoin and should be logged and put back in an other cache. On the other side of the tag I have my e-mail address so if a coin is lost and found by a muggle they can e-mail me if they choose. The first coins I released (maybe 100 or so) didn't have holes or tags - I put them in a bi-fold flip with a little card on the other side saying that it was a traveling geocoin and it should be logged and placed back in a cache. The only problem with that is I got my very first coin I released back from a cacher I knew who found it after it had been traveling around for about a year. He had picked it up at MWGB and it was not in it's coin flip. Just a USA geocoin that had been rattling around all by its self in a cache. I can see where they can get picked up like that and kept as some kind of souvineer token. I was thrilled to get my very first coin back, but I drilled a hole in it , tagged it and sent it back out to travel. It's still moving today. I release them all. I have a Four Spirits coin traveling, a laptop, the magnetic pug/fire hydrant, a South Pointing Chariot and lots of other cool, unusual coins out there. I have found the cool ones stay moving just as well (when tagged) as the plain ones. Just my experience. I also get lots of logs from people telling me that one of my coins was the first one that they ever found. It's cool . I used to get upset when they would turn up missing, but usually it seems that they turn up again anyway - unless the whole cache gets muggled.

Do we know how many letters will fit in the engraving for the version 2?
-
If anyone wants just a few nerds I would be willing to add some onto my order. You can have them engraved with what ever you want on them. My Nerds will be black glitter with a white swirl (hopefully - the swirls didn't make it last time) and rainbow glitter with a bright pink swirl. Just drop me an e-mail if you are interested. They are the trackable version 2. Thanks - Robin
