If it looks a little like the "CITO Around the World" coins that's because both coins are based upon my ideas. I am holding a CITO event that is the kick off event for the 6 week long Chippewa Valley Geocaching promotion in conjunction with the visitor's bureau. Originally I thought that there would be funding available for a CITO coin from the visitor's bureau. A few weeks after I started promoting the event I was told this was not the case. Not wanting to give up on the coin I changed it to a more generic type and approached Coins and Pins and The Caching Place to see what I could do to still have a coin, without cleaning out my savings account. The original coin was a micro and neither where really interested in doing that. I had the first contact with Georgia from the Caching Place and told her that I had a different idea for a non-micro coin. That resulted in the "CITO Around the World" coins. (Thanks Georgia for all your help and the great coin!!) After I had presented that idea to the Caching Place, Coins and Pins got back to me and said they could do the original coin, but not as a micro. Well, I had a dilema................... So instead of choosing I went with both. I just hope the Coins and Pins CITO coin sells as well as the "CITO Around the World" coins did, or per our agreement, I will be buying lots of CITO coins- but at wholesale prices. The coin idea was presented to Jamie at madhattersneverland, he did the original design and Aaron at Coins and Pins worked it into this great coin!! Just changing a few things really made the design a lot better!! Thanks Aaron and Elyssa!! I don't know the exact date, but they should be available soon.

  2. I have a bunch of 2006 Chippewa Valley Geocaching event coins. I am working on the event this year and would be willing to trade for any unactivated trackable or non-trackable geocoin. I will be using these geocoins for prizes for the 2007 event, or I will place them unactivated in caches for the event. The 2006 Chippewa Valley Geocaching event coins are non-trackable and look like this:

Please send me a PM if you would be willing to do a trade, or you can email me at wisconsin_robin@yahoo.com . Thanks!!

    But I didn't get an e-mail yet..........................................................

  5. I have been so spoiled by my Secret Leprachaun!! All month I have been getting cards and other things via e-mail and now, right on St. Patty's Day, I got my package. Wrapped ever so nice - I got a growing leprachaun (which my 5 year old insisted upon placing in some water immediately and is impatiently waiting for it to grow). Some geocaching charms (which I showed to my 16 year old daughter and she replied "Cool" followed my a look that said 'My mom is such a dork, now she is going to wear geocaching jewelry!' A nice shamrock pin, a card and of course the coins. A good job done!! A Dressel Dragons (I really wanted this one); a Canadian Volunteer Geocache Reviewers (an other one that I really wanted) and a gold Team Sand Dollar (I just traded for a couple, but I still like it). Thanks so very much Secret Leprechaun!!! I hope I did as well for my Secret Leprecaun.

  6. I will be making trades for the Zuma and Jesse Top 40 geocoins #32. I would like to trade for other (non-Top 40) trackable geocoins. Thanks - Robin

Do you have a seeking list?

    Windrose

No seeking list right now. I will set one up soon, but I would be happy to get any trackable, unactivated geocoin. I release most of mine, though I am a little backlogged at the present. Thanks!

  7. ;) ............... I guess that's what happens when you scan instead of read! Other than the coin I had made, some of my favorites are: Moun10bike v2 - I was sooooo excited when I got this one (Thanks Jon!); GeocachingDragon - I set all of my coins free, but I really want to keep this one. I love the "Dragons Prayer". The South Pointing Chariot - this is a remarkable coin, it just spins and spins and spins........
  8. I would have to say this is one of my favorites. I had it made to comemerate the occasion of my geo-dates 50th birthday and 200th find. If you look at the tree tops you can see that information "hidden" there and if you look at the tree trunk you can see a heart and a 1S2F (short for onesearching2find). I thought it was a great birthday surprise and he did too! Coins and Pins made it and did a great job!

  9. I have had some requests for some information about the 50 part mystery cache. Here is the first one: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...3e-401378d8f177 and here is the last: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...58-bc1fd48c92cd . These are sets of 7 and each set is contained in a park, a couple of larger parks have 2 sets in. Most of the caches are ammo cans, with some regulars and just 1 micro.

  10. If the error is the fact that it has a duplicate tracking number (ie the same number was given to two different coins by mistake) as has recently happened with some coins; I would highly encourage you to exchange the coin for one with a good tracking number. If you decide at some point in time that you do not want the coin and do not exchange it the coin probably will not be able to be exchanged by the new owner and also will not be trackable. Having a tracking number that does not work doesn't make the coin rare, it's the same coin as all of the others, it just is lacking a valuable feature. The person who made these coins paid for them to be trackable, by human error this was messed up. When you get a new coin, you are just making things as the person who made the coin intended them to be.
