James and I hope to place our first cache very soon. We have an idea of where we want to place it so we are going to check it out today and get some co-ordinates etc. Just wanted to know if anyone has any tips for placing cache's? Should we include anything special for the FTF?

They have 23 or so finds, so aren't that experienced, but neither are they that new... I only have 11 finds under my belt but I would never move a cache, it has been placed ther cause the owner wanted to place there, if someone has concerns about a cache they should email the owners instead of taking it upon themselves to move a cache. I can't see how moving a cache that it would have the same co-ordinates, I have had issues as i put wrong number in GPS, was only a 9 instead of an 8 and took me to less than 5 metres from the cache, so even a small move should mean a change in co-ordinates.

We were introduced to some GC by some friends who has found a few caches and TB's. We registered on the website while with them, a couple of weeks later we bought our GPS and have been caching ever since. We recently released our first TB in Portugal and hope to set up our first cache soon.

The are lots arond the Mumbles and Gower area, we are hoping to do more on Gower when the weather dries up, the ground is a little wet at the moment.

Been thinking about a PDA/Pocket PC to log our caches but wanted to ask a few question. 1. Is it worth the expense? 2. Is the software easy to use? 3. What should I look out for?

Maybe next year! We are newbies after all, but James bought me a nice new digital camera so I can log our geocaches.

To do more caching and get fitter while doing so!
