  1. AWESOME. Aotearoa was a tremendous success. It was a brilliantly fine day, an absolutely perfect location and lots of great people to share it all with. The team behind the event, and the coins.....
  2. Yes, we had fun - and there were heaps of coins disocvered. WIth the swag that was donated as above, everyone took something away from the day - including the memory. A quick note to post a photo of the event - one of the warmest days so far this year as we emerge from Winter.... as was fitting. url=http://img.geocaching.com/cache/log/c24c4d74-ed7d-4679-b685-7e21b763bd2b.jpg]http://img.geocaching.com/cache/log/c24c4d...e21b763bd2b.jpg[/url]
  3. Yep! Your package and another one were returned to him because they were sent in the wrong kind of package!!! He sends his profuse apologies, and will resend immediately. Well well, You learn something new every day - there is a wrong kind of package? Now I am curious. Anyway, thanks for the work. Cheers
  4. Poor Rchdlyn! I feel for you! Mine has been neglected too I have been in contact with your sender, and your package was sent ages ago....BUT...your sender has been sent a message saying he has got a couple of undelivered packages to pick up, and will check into it this morning. Yours will be delayed about a week Sorry Is promising that there are returned packages - fingers crossed. Would hate for them to be lost, but if they are we do not want the sender to feel bad - these things happen. One of the coins that we sent almost ended up in the bin beause we were too cunning. Lucky save and all was well.
  5. Ummm, there is a reason for not yet posting receipt. Our mailbox has been sadly neglected by the delivery crew for quite some time now . We are just biding our time - the postal service can not only be stunning in its efficiency - but also in its ability to efficiently tag and file stuff for a while
  6. Only 8 sleeps for some of us... With the plans that are unfolding, 6 more sleeps.....
  7. Hi, We would be happy to help any coins out - add us to the register. Mid South Island, New Zealand. Now we know about it - it could be very useful. Great concept.
  8. Thanks for the edit - I struggle a bit with photos. I will check out the links as time permts. have still benn unable to find this bencmark on any site as yet. A bit wierd.
  9. I agree! How hard would it be to design the maze with a kind of "lip", so it can have an open top and the ball would not fall out?
  10. Been a long time since we go anything in the mail (apart from advertising - that is ) A couple of days ago we recieved some NZGPS 2007 geocoins for trade and today we recieved the 7th Anniversary Geocoin by trade as we missed out on it when they were listed for sale. Thanks ever so much
  11. Hi there, unsure if this is the thread to raise this, but we are in NZ, and while searching for a cache (twin bridges (GCA065)) came across UE10, a New Zealand benchmark. We could not see this (obviously) on the websites but would be keen to find a way of logging them - anyone out there know more than the attached - where maps are etc. We are relatively new, but in some ways the benchmarks are the beginning of location by GPS. Anyone able to help? And by the way - I love the images on this thread - it is very interesting perhaps for those of us unfamiliar with your country. Cheers. I am glad you find our findings interesting. We also log and discuss our findings at malsingmaps forum, a place where you will find free Malaysia and Singapore maps for Garmin units. You can find them at the following links: http://forums.malsingmaps.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=188 http://www.malsingmaps.com/wiki/index.php/Benchmarking The reason we post our findings here instead of create a category is because none of us are premium members and we are still looking for someone that is premium member is willing to help us create one at Waymarking.com. You can try your luck at the following links for Kiwi BMs: http://gwprojects.org/forum/index.php http://www.linz.govt.nz/home/index.html http://www.linz.govt.nz/apps/geodeticdatabase/index.html Good luck. Thanks for this -have had a look and might try to find a few - we dont see the one we found in the database, so some more research needed. I am unsure what is required to start a Waymarking.com category - i see a committee is required to stop the extra work falling on one person. I will see how our benchmark hunts go here, but might start a category - I wonder if you can do an general one for outside the US? These are views from close to the benchmark. Heart of the South Island. Small cos I grabbed them off the Groundspeak website Cheers Chaps.
  12. I just realized that whomever received my name is in a similar situation. I have no "seeking list", I like almost all of 'em. To get a good idea of what I have, you will have to look at both ClickChik and my own profiles though, since we share a collection. I imagine there are a few we haven't activated yet, but those would be ones I wouldn't expect to get in a package anyway. We too do not have a seeking list (interesting twist on English gramma ). This is our first mission and are looking for fun, artistic expression , mystery and surprise .
  13. Yes activate rchdlyn did, and discover did I. Very unique and beautiful most unlike any other I have seen. We can confirm we are going to release a set at the Aotearoa Multi Event (6 October 2007) to be held in Ashburton with another set there to discover, and maybe even some new coins ,if they arrive in time If you are in NZ at this time - it will be the place to be. Look forward to meeting cacher's throughout NZ and indeed the world.
  14. sooooooo Cooooool! Didn't know you could use real pictures. The effect is stunning!

  17. 3 Dragon Spinner Antique Copper 2 Dragon Spinner Antique Gold 2 Dragon Spinner Antique Silver 1 Nano Cache Rust 3 Acrylic Coin Box 2 Nurses Have Heart 2 Tone 1 Masonic Antique Copper 1 Masonic Antique Bronze No computer box Only ordered it just prior to Easter But thats another story Has been dispatched PS First four letters of our user name has a birthday tomorrow - wonder what will be in our box tomorrow?
  18. I thought about that also - because since the answer is one word, not all of the groups of letters can mean someting (not many 26 letter words exist) Mind you, there are 26 letters in the alphabet. I have found if I try hard, I can make it close to quite a few words ..... none much help. Perhaps it spells red herring? Still early in the evening for us downunder fellas.
  19. OH MY GOSH !!!!! That is too cute and funny! Yeh - kinda got to laugh. The design of the coffee canister had a tinted see through (or not see throuh enough perhaps) cavity in the lid. It sat on the supermarket shelf with the others saying "put a geocahe coffe coin in me" - so we did!
  20. Wow. Do you want me to unplug the extension cord I have running out of your garage to my heater?
  21. These are pretty stunning - where are they available if at all (lazy way of finding out - ask) cheers
  22. Hi Again, Sadly will not be able to purchase coins set - some nice sets in there - but would be really happy to chip in a few dollars to your cause - if you message me with details. No strings - just the right ing to do.....
  23. Hmmm. Is it that time already? Dont lose hope (maybe) - will have to think hard tonight and see what happens (time zone thing - midday at the moment here). Cheers
  24. After hopping from foot to foot, holding our tongues just so, thinking about it ...... and all the other stuff. I think I might get another set and release them. Keep thsi set for discovery - it is always frustrating to ahve some coins to admire but not in the hand. I assume there are some left? Will check the site. Cheers. That’s definitely a tough question for the owner! I am a bit curious about the outcome though…
