  1. Another vote for Tecnu. I also have a dermatologist that is even more allergic to PI than I am (if it can be believed) He relates a story to me that he got it on the INSIDE of his eyelids... (Shudder). He gave me a scrip for some pills and a cream. Between those, tecnu and lots of cool water, caching is not a fatal disease for me.
  2. DRAT! Just when you think you got a good idea!
  3. How about Kenny Rogers "The Gambler"? Lots of potential as a twisted tune. Most of all it drives my son crazy...
  4. I was thinking of projects I could do when it is too wet to cache. Has anyone thought of a hand crank generator to charge up the batteries on a GPSr? You could help me out by telling me what the voltage requirements are for the recharger port on your GPSr and the make and model. I've been doing some thinking on this one (patent pending).
  5. Hello fellow newbies!! My wife, who has no sign on (yet) thought this whole idea was cool. So much so, that she went out and bought her own GPSr. All addictions should be so great. I wonder if there is any downside to this one
  6. First: Happy Birthday! Second: My worst day geocaching is still better than my best day working! I look at caching as another excuse to get off my butt and get out into the world. An added bonus is finding the cache. If I don't find it (I've bagged 1 in 3 so far), I have seen some places and done things I never would have, had it not been for the cache. So... relax, have fun, and think about all the muggles walking around who are completely oblivious to the fact they are walking right past these caches.
  7. I am new to geocaching and this site. I got into this because of a few "suspicious" people wandering around at the end of my block with a GPS. They would stop, bend over and look around, and continue their study of their notebook. They repeated this several times before I had to find out what they were up to. I couldn't resist. I introduced myself and asked if they were lost. After geting a very good education on geocaching, there I was looking through bushes and staring at the notes and finaly we found it... I am totaly hooked! As you can tell from my login, I am a photographer. I photograph wildlife and scenery, which often takes me well off the beaten path. I use a Magellan Exp 500 to help me. When I start hiding my own caches, and I know of a few places, bring a camera. There will be something there to see!
