GIDYYUP!!!

I'd be really careful placing this cache far, far away from any other real crab pots... The real crab pots owners are usually a bit more than a little "touchy" if they see you bringing up their pots...

This is the first return with Unlock Codes involved I have ever done... and to be honest, I never thought about it until I had the problem... I'll do that in the future... GARNIN has always been very good with repairs, in and out of warranty for us... Turnaround tme is always less than 10 days from day sent to day recieved back... We have actually had a few returns that were out of warranty, that they have waived any charges on... Don't get me wrong... we have had few returns... we just have had MANY different units over the last 10 years... we seem to sell and get a new one every 6-10 months... and we both have our own units... we've probably had over 15-20 units over the years... BUT ALL GARMIN!!! never a wimpGellan...

Only problem I ended up with was the 1.5 hrs on hold... Once they answered... they were very attentive and professional.. AND THEY WERE ACTUALLY IN ST. LOUIS!!! NOT out-sourced!!! BIG PLUS IF U HAVE EVER DEALT WITH OUT_SOURCED HELP b4!!! They were not answering from Calcutta nor Ulan Batur nor Terra Del Fuego... They also explained to me that MONDAY's (all day) are particularly heavy for Tech. Suppt. due to backlogs that occur over the weekends... (most GPS use is on weekends and that is when users discover most bugs)... Tech Supt is only available Mon - Fri. If you don't have the time to spend on hold... call in the mornings (8AM CDT) Tuesday thru Friday... forget Monday!!! They close 5PM CDT...

60csx Firmware 3.0 And Gps Software 2.7
Peconic Bay Sailors replied to DriverFound's topic in GPS technology and devices
I updated our 60CSx with 3.0... no problems... I am at 2.90 on our 76CSx... going to put up new firmware (3.0) tonite for that unit... 60 CSx now gets lock on sats before initial Message screen goes away... it has lock immediately... don't know if that is because of current conditions or the update??? Never seen it that fast before in the 3 mos we have had the unit... -
dadgum... we sent our GPSMAP 60CSx back to repair because on/off button crapped out on our unit... Soooo... they sent us a new unit... very fast turnaround... new serial number tho... Soooo... now MapSurce needs new unlock codes for City Navigator 7.0 and Blue Chart 8.0... Been on hold for Garmin Technical Service for 1.5 hours now... They said volume was large and to call back in the AM... well I called at EXACTLY 9AM edt... they open at 8AM cdt... (same time)... dadgum!!!
