  1. Don't upgrade! Think of all the fun you'll be missing while you write down all the coords for a trip & then manually loading each one into your GPSr. Then there is the printing of each Cache description so you can carry a ton of paper. Just think of all the time wasted & recyclable paper. Just kidding aside, the Premium Membership is well worth it, unless you enjoy doing the above.

  11. Once you decide what type of Cache you are going to hide by reviewing the various tips in GEO 101, take your time to figure where to place your Cache. Make it a spot very interesting for others to come and see the spot you chose. So many folks just throw something together then just toss in a boring place. Use the Beauty of your land [ i assume Ireland ] and the many wonders to which people & cachers would be fascinated to visit. Good Luck & Welcome to the family.
  12. After a long hike & several cache findings I was able to find my Car. Does that count?
  13. Just thinking out loud. Tides tables could possibly be generated base on the current location you are at? Sort of like the sunrise/sunset based on your present location. Now, I could be be totally wrong but it does make sense. Or you could contact Garmin and ask them the question.
  14. If you are worried about your LogBook becoming a soggy mess, look into Foil Tape. For years I've made these Log which I call Impression Logs which are made from ... HVAC Tape - High Heat Duct Insulation Tape. I've even put them in caches as Swag. Even the so called Dollar Stores carry cheap containers.
  15. You should take a bike and wander along the Grand Union Canal, there are lots of interesting places along the way. Last year took a Narrowboat from Coventry in the Canals and did numerous Caches along the way. Welcome to the Family & keep Caching.
