  1. Team Pooh was close about the MtnMutt Coin as only 9 coins have been released. Today #10 ' MonkeyPirate', will be be released on an Island. The next set of 5 will then be readied, as these coins are 5 to a set each is a different color. The next set is for the Mid-Mountaineers.
  2. Landrover and I are doing a Mini-Hike of the Month as we Venture out to the Monster. Sorry, you could not come out and play. The Moose Drool will miss you...
  3. No one else want to Venture out today? Air Temperature is going to be in the 80's while water will be between 50-60. We meet at 0830 QFC..............
  4. I'll be there. How about meeting at the NB QFC about 8:30 or 9? Then we take one vehicle in?
  5. Well, with the weather looking to be in the high 70's, we may just have to go for it Saturday.
  6. Since the pathway into Lake is overgrown, Canoes and Kayaks would be a bit of problem getting in. I have an old Metal Canoe I was going to Portage there but reviews by others, state it would be too much work. OK.. The weather has turned against me. As we all know Safety First, to Cache another day.. So, I shall wait for some nice weather then proceed with the Launch of the SS Minnow. Since I'm waiting for that nice Saturday for this pleasure cruise. Is there any others who would like to sign on as Crew? I heard from an old Logger Dude that this was a Great Lake for Fishing. Hmmm, Logger and Fishing, interesting.
  7. Nah.... Too much money! Well, Wally and Fred were out of Luxury Liners, so next stop was the Legend among Travelers. Yep, you guess it. Uncle Les Schwab, he had the prefect Vehicle for the price. This new Beastie Killer was 20 bucks, and can be pumped on site. Yes, it's a brand new Truck Inner Tube. This Luxury Liner will float me to my destination in Style. Now will I get that weather break for some warmth or do I brave the cool rain?
  8. Good Morning Monster Watchers.. Since September of 2006 this Cache has been a THORN in my side. The last visitors went to stand at the Shore and stare at the distance Treasure. The Motor Yacht was in sad shape and a new vehicle would be required to make the Trip. Well, today it is off to Wally World to view their last remaining Yachts.. If by chance I can make a good deal on one of these pleasure craft, this Cache will be mine. The only concern I have is we have had a long dry spell and very little moisture could the Poor Monster be stuck in the shallows? Wish me luck
  9. UNCLE... if you took the route I'm thinking of I hope someone dropped you off and you did not park in front of the Gate. You could have returned to NO Vehicle, sure 15-30 minutes to cache but the wrong time could have been bad news for all. Now if you have a key that's a different story.
  10. Darn it.... too far from the Bend to get down there on a weekend of CRAZY DRIVER heading out for the Holiday. You should hit the Bend sometime for the Pour House, Great Food and Moose Drool on Tap. Please have a bubbly for me ... DasMtnMutt
  11. Just not FAIR! You folks had so much fun and I got stuck at home Saturday and Dog Show on Sunday. Great Trip report, glad everyone is got out safe and sound with no bruises.
  12. Now that's a nice Brew, I've had my share of them. But lately I found several that are just right for hiding in the Pack. These are nice to lower into a Stream or Lake. Iron Horse Brewery in E-Berg, 'Quilter's Irish Death 7.8% ABV and the mellow Brass a** Brown Ale 6% ABV. Have a safe Hike and hope you catch the Big One.....
  13. 3 - Hour Hmmm Did anyone other than me notice anything Strange about Criminal's GPS? Look at his Max MPH.
  14. SHOOT! I wanted to do this but Saturday is making a Batch of Spicy Pepper Relish then Sunday is Dogshow. Good luck and have fun. Can someone send me the track so i can go in sometime on the short route?
  15. Seattle area we have..... McHale Packs He built mine in 1985, it is still going strong and too many miles to count and can take on Airline abuse from all over. These Packs are built to you not some store rack bought. It's like a wearing a pair great fitting Boot. They just cling to your movements and for year round use. Life is good with a McHale Pack.
  16. Loch Katrine Monster is a road walk, an abandoned road walk, but it is a road walk. It's the last 600' to the cache that is the challange. But to build a raft and paddle over is the true challenge, if all else fails swim for it. Sine the Luxury Liner is no longer available for passengers.
  17. Mr. Crim, I think your radar has overlooked a zone. The following 2 cachers have your Agenda written all over them. They Ooze waiting for the picking but not for just anyone as they are remote but guarantee the Adventurer a trip one can place their name on. I'm sure there would be a crowd waiting for the go ahead. I know I've been trying to figure out a time to accomplish these 2 unique isolated spots. Check them out and throw your opinion out so other's may see what you have to say and may want to attempt the Adventure. You Better be an Ace GCJRW0 Loch Katrine Monster GCYJ2X
  18. now that was really weird..... a double postie thingie... It has to be gremlins.
  19. Dream Lake.....Hmm? I wonder if she would let me go play in the woods?
  20. I survived the Cake Walk to Rainy Lake, I looked behind too many trees in search of an unpublished cache. I think it is lost in SPACE. The beginning was fun, the large amount of level areas was superb and the various elevation gains was exciting. Wait a minute! What Hike am I talking about? This was up and up, the a short down the up and up. That last push to the high point above the lake has turned many a Hiker around. We heard of 2 this day. As we headed back from this adventure, I had a vision of a Cold Moose Drool and a Blue Cheese, Bacon Burger kept this wandering soul moving. Once back it was better than I dreamed about. Right Totem?? I must admit this was more fun than doing say 15 Caches during a Dog Show weekend. I missed this week but the won the Breed. a Win-Win for both. Thanks Greg for another warm weather hike... oh for those who did go on this short adventure... 'Did you wake this morning with some new aches or muscles pains you didn't have yesterday or did I just sleep wrong last night?
  21. Yahoo... I can go play. I'll meet Totem in Parking Lot QFC [Guy with Red Backpack]. Too bad Hydnsek can not go play as she will never know what happened on Liberty Bell
  22. Duh, put this in the wrong place the first time.... If I can get a Chore Pass, I'd like to tag along on another HOTM. But my problem is also Transportation to the site. I could meet someone in the North Bend QFC parking lot at about 0530. Does anyone have a spare seat? I would know for sure if I can get released Friday afternoon.

  24. I will not put it in writing but on a HOTM I'll tell. To this day I blame it on the Tequila.
