Can I get an address from coordinates?

Ok here is the deal. I know it is not totaly geocaching related but this site has provided Gps related questions with answer when no one else can. Here is the scoop I am a volunter for a first anual Tour de Cure in Houston (Raises money to find a cure for diabetes). There are 100, 64, 32, 15 (Family) Routes. I am trying to map it but have some problems. One I have an older GPS (12map) That does not execpt GPX files. So I have to map in Garmins Mapsource softerware BUT I am in houston and the 64 and 100 mile routes are split some on the western CD some on the eastern cd and I could not find a way to get them both on the screen to print the map. That failed. So I tried mapping in Google earth (which does not have street names) I got half way through mapping the 64 thinking this should be easy to save and lay over google maps with street names but aparently that is not as easy as I thought it would be. Then I found out you can map a route in google maps and up load to google earth but their route mapping interface SUCKS. It was taking twice as long to map it that way. Here is what I would like to have. All Maps on Google earth so my SAG (Support and Gear) drivers can "fly" over the route before they head out. All Maps on something like map source or Google maps with street names for the riders. Perfect world All Routes on one map. (They all start and finish in one spot.) Perfect perfect world be able to enter the 64, and 100 in my 12 map so I can go ride the rout and make sure the maps are all correct. Any Map experts in Houston I would love some help. One last thing if anyone works at sprint I would love to talk to you about the Live Traking to track where my SAGs and Motorcycle and Medical support are during the ride. Thank you Manny

I did not even know it had drivers. But I checked the packaging and it was there so I loaded it and it has'nt worked yet. I was going to try the order of Wadcutter and see if that worked if not I am going to shut down reboot and try again. Thanks for the help.......

Thanks now nobody will see it or answer my question. I tried it in this forum and got no answer then I tried over there and got some possible solutions..........

I have a (yes I know it's old) Garmin 12 map. It conects with an old serial port conection but my new computer does not have a serial port? So I went and got a serial to usb cable but it is not finding the GPS with my mapsource softwear? I tried every com port they list and tried the auto find button nothing works? I know the usb port is good becuase my mp3 player works with it. Any Ideas what could be wrong? I know this should be in the GPS software section but no one answered there.

I am creating a slide show/ video of a recent trip. I have seen the effect of a stationary map but the route starts its motion from one point and highlights the route with a moving high light. Does anyone know how to do this?

FYI from an old thread. Be sure to use the "official" Geocaching radio call. I started to think last night that if we do come up with an official "call" on the radio, we may be giving the enemy our position. What I mean is that park Ranger (not all) who are looking to Ban geo-caching may start to monitor the radio as well and move in for a surprise ambush. So I thought we should make a "call" that only geocahers would recognize. We would have to change it every so often. I came up with something. It goes like this. 1st geocacher on the radio "The purple cow sings moon-river at midnight" 2nd geocaher would respond with "The chicken eats mercury in Main" What do you guys think? Well Of Course Texas...And I have to warn you people from Ohio as to what a Hurricane is. I am sure you have never experienced any thing like it. We have lost of experience with them. The best advice I can give is be prepared for total destruction. You should take your Husband and wifes, children, elders and pets and just get out of the way because when a hurricane comes Threw every thing is destroyed no matter what is in its path. Have an out-of-state friend as a family contact, so all your family members have a single point of contact. Make a plan now for what to do with your pets if you need to evacuate. Post emergency telephone numbers by your phones and make sure your children know how and when to call 911. Check your insurance coverage - flood damage is not usually covered by homeowners insurance. National Flood Insurance Program Stock non-perishable emergency supplies and a Disaster Supply Kit. Use a NOAA weather radio.
