  1. Ever since your last unnecessary update of your website, nothing is working the same, the pages take forever to load and half the time they error and have to be refreshed a bunch of times to get them up.

This is very irritating and making me angry!

Whatever you did, you screwed it!!!

GSAK isn't working because of it and I can't log my caches either!

IF IT AIN'T BROKEN, DON'T FIX IT!

  2. I tried posting a note on one of my archived caches with today's date mid morning here (NZ) and it was still logged as the previous day (=American time).

KiwiNomad is correct. All logs are still showing the wrong time when submitted from this part of the world (New Zealand).

I've just created two test logs from here.

    1. Field Note. Created at 2013-03-12 16:51 UTC+13. Shows in Field Notes on website as 12 March 2013 08:51:04 - somewhere a whole 8 hours got lost. This method at least gets the day correct, but the field note timestamp on the website is out by eight hours. Hence early morning logs will get posted to the incorrect day. I've now published this log as well. http://coord.info/GLADC9VR

    2. Found Log. Created a few minutes later. Shows as 2013-03-11 on the website - a whole DAY out, it should be logging as 2013-03-12. http://coord.info/GLADC9JB

My account settings on the website are: Time Zone: New Zealand : Auckland, Wellington and Show Daylight Savings Time

The iPhone application + website combination are still showing this timezone bug, which has been reported many times in the past, and continues to remain unfixed. This is very frustrating for Australian and New Zealand users of the application. Please fix it.

Both iphones AND Androids do this, we then have to log into GC.COM to alter the dates on a PC, which kinda defies the point of using the phone in the first place.

  3. Can you download your cartdrige ?

The Wherigo.com site itself is ok. Logout, delete your brwoser cache, login and try again. If this does not help, apply a second listing. Perhaps there is something wrong wih the first.

    I can't download it.

I don't know what to do, It wouldn't even upload til I figured I had to convert it or something to a GWZ file or something, not even sure now if I even did that right... ARGH!!!

    I don't know what I'm doing!!

  4. I have uploaded my Cartridge and am trying to edit the details but all I get is this message - An Error Has Occurred

Your request has resulted in an error. Please return to this site's home page to continue.

I want this up by New Years Day and I can't get past this - HELP!!!!!

  5. My newest and best creation yet.

It has taken me many weeks to make this too.

I am hoping my fellow cachers in my area don't watch this thread and won't see it before I can get it placed.

    This is in SA, Australia.

I stumbled across a large square rose garden in the middle of an industrial area with an old rotting flagpole and a covered well (from what I can gather) and it inspired me, it made me think of gardens such as these with memorial plaques in them. I found a place to make the sandstone thing for me and he surprisingly made it better than what I asked for! My Brother then made the base for me and the rest I ordered. The whole construction has cost me $65 Au.

I have yet to place this and the base will be buried and the stone will hopefully sit halfway in the dirt. It is simply lifted up for retrieval.

The cache has JUST been published, finally after many months of awaiting council approval for the base to be buried.

Funny thing was, the lady council worker said she was going to place this in the protection lists in the Arts & Public Sculptures section of the council to protect it! Hahahaha, She has now signed up and wants to find some with her hubby.

She did most of the work and broke my garden fork in the process, lol.

  6. The purpose of the padding it so the sandstone doesn't get smashed when people drop it back in place as that is bound to happen. Not everyone will have the smarts to figure out that dropping it back into place will likely damage the less dense sandstone against the concrete.

I have no idea how I am going to get permission to bury it, I may just move it to under the nearby pine trees where it is less obvious.

Thank you for all the compliments

I found the plaque on ebay, customizable and it only cost $12

  8. I am building my 1st Wherigo, not come across any problems as yet and didn't do the tutorial, (didn't know about it). I am just fiddling and learning my way through it and have input 4 zones and story and some commands so far, however, after reading through some of these threads I am wondering if the advise given to a few other people about switching to URWIGO or Earwigo would really benefit me?

Would I have to start again?

Not really keen on that idea as I have done a lot it seems.

Just getting my head around it thus far has been easy enough but I am not by any standard the typical genius that tries to make these Whereigos!

    Some advise please?

  9. I just started one myself, 1st timer.

Everyone tells me it is very hard to do and I see that really only the smartest brainiacs in the Caching community have done 1 or even 2. So, I was kinda wondering if I COULD just use Google image search to find the images I am after and use those?

Also, I haven't even looked at the Tutorials so reading what you just suggested NOT to do, I don't think I will.

I think I will just plod along on my own figuring it all out as I go along.

This is gunna take SOME time!! <_<

  10. Are you waiting for this thread to reach a certain number of complaints to do anything about this or do you seriously NOT CARE?!?!?!

    SERIOUSLY!?!?!

This is making people very annoyed and you STILL haven't restored it!

There are many people who have the capability to fix this for you, even people who would do it for free so what is the freaking hold up?!

The find count was the only purpose for the friend list!!!!

You will only continue to incur more complaints and un-nice words from people UNTIL you bring back the feature that we all want!!!!!

Stop being so Arrogant and assuming that we will all give up and drop the subject!

    Very very annoyed!! :)

  11.

..... I wish that the resources had been allocated to any number of other features that the user-base has actually stated a desire for.

    Killer marketing strategy.

That is simply all it is - a Marketing thing for the younger people ith disposable incomes! Ppffft.

One feature they could have used all the extra srript on is this - Friend find count thread

But no, Money is more important than making existing customers happy!

  12. Why all of a sudden is the Find counts in your friends list GONE??

That is the whole point of HAVING them as friends, so you can keep an eye on their finds!

    (Ya know? Friendly competetion?)

    Not happy!!!

    Bring it back!!

Seriously....what is the reason they are gone??

Have you learnt nothing in doing this same action before??

Way to go to make people lose interest in competing with their friends!!

    Bring it back

    Bring It Back

    BRING IT BACK!!!!!
