  1. Those cachers that are separating from a previous team and now have a new account need to log caches previously found. If they are archived, that can't be done. Also, I found a cache 4 days ago that had been archived almost 2 years ago. Stumbled upon it while searching for another cache about 30 fet away. Don't know if I should log it or not, since it was a five-stage cache and I only found the final stage (and signed the log).
  2. Paypal'd for my two. Hoping to get one or two of the pewter ones.
  3. My vote is for trackable coins, or at least the first of each series being trackable and having its own icon. We could use the themes that Renegade Knight mentioned, and have 1 coin each quarter and 4 coins per series. This would keep it alive for years. The idea about separate color/metal coins for members vs non-members is very good.
  4. I'm in! USAF 1966-70, RVN Cam Ranh Bay 68-70.
  5. Two for me (paid) and waiting on the silver
  6. I prefer the round type, only because they LOOK like a coin. However, the horseshoe shape of the North Dakota coin is extremely well done.
  7. Just paypaled for 5. I'm one of those that would pay the extra $1.50 for geocaching.com trackable, but $3.25 is VERY reasonable and I thank the Maine geocachers for putting this together.
  8. Ordered and paid for 3 coins via paypal a couple of days ago.
  9. If any become available, I'll take 2 (or 1 if that's all I can get) Thanks!
  10. I'd like to be put on the list for 2 of each. Thanks!
  11. Mine arrived today, great coins !! Very good design and shape. A quality, heavy coin. Thanks Randy (and everybody else involved) for all your efforts in getting this done. GrizzFlyer Whitehouse OH
  12. I'd like 3 coins. Email sent to you. Thanks!!
  13. Got mine! Like'em! The finish is great, really sets them apart from others. Nice work on doing everything that was necessary to make this happen.
  14. In good weather, most of my caching is done on the Harley FLTRI. Put 600+ miles on it in the past 10 days, doing three trips total. It has hard bags and a tour pack, all lockable and alarmed. There are still places I won't let it out of my sight though. Only need a helmet if I'm going into Michigan, and if somebody stole that they'd be doing me a favor. The biggest concern I have though, are the Indiana and Michigan country roads. Many of them are stone. We Ohioans are fortunate to have mostly paved roads, although I did find a few stone ones while out caching on 6/29. At 40 miles per gallon, I'll go slow and ride on some stone. Beats my diesel Ford Super Duty at 15 MPG.
  15. Check is on its way. Thank you! GrizzFlyer
  16. Count me in for 5 coins. Let me know who to send the $$$ to and when. Thanks! GrizzFlyer
  17. The reason I originally bought a GPSr a couple of years ago was to put on my Yamaha Grizzly. Got a MeriGold because it had the large screen and the buttons could be pushed with gloved hands. Tried Magellans bike mount, that did not work well. Got the RAM mount, and that works great! It mounts right in front of me, down in the little valley made by the handlebars. It's very accessable and still out of the way. If the Griz flips over or gets dumped, the GPSr is still somewhat protected. Put a clear plastic bag over it, keeps the mud off the plastic screen. If you go with the RAM mount, you'll need a U-bolt mount base for the handlebar (B2312U), an arm (B201U), and a cradle to fit your GPSr. Whole deal should run $25-35.
  18. Mrs GrizzFlyer and I are into ATVing, and we decided to go to the Wayne National Forest in SE Ohio for some ATVing fun. Unbeknowst to us, we picked out the toughest, most remote section of the forest. Got lost for several hours. Well, she called it lost, I called it temporarily bewildered. Not a good feeling, whatever it was. It was at that time I swore to never get lost in there again, and bought a MeriGold. It was about a month later that I got into geocaching, since I already had the equipment. Now, almost 900 caching finds later, I'm still using that MeriGold. Whenever I go ATVing in a remote area, I now know exactly where I'm lost at....
  19. Whitehouse. All one word. Southwestern part of Lucas County.
  20. I'm a country boy when it comes to caching, but I'll do the urban ones too just for a change of pace. The walk to a cache is one of the reasons I do this crazy game, it gets me some exercise. The cache Robespierre mentioned above is on my list of caches to do before the snow hits Ohio, I'll get down to Marion again soon. City/urban caches can be very interesting due to some historical or cultural link to them, but they also can be downright nasty. I'm thinking of a particular under-the-bridge cache in a busy downtown area in NE Indiana that fits in the nasty category. Then just a few minutes away is another urban bridge cache (GCH2JX) that is outstanding. It is a challenge, attested to by all the DNF's in its log.
  21. Thanks everyone for all the input and knowledge, much appreciated. I'm going to get out there and do some of the more unusual BM's.
