  1. Well I have to say these dadgum <-- That's NOT the word I used !!! things are still not working. Leaving aside the issue of scheduled queries failing to run, when they do run virtually all of the emails I get say "no results were found" even if the preview showed up to the full 500 hits. Here's a typical example, using a new PQ I entered tonight. Screenshot of the PQ as it ran - it has days to run checked, 500 caches of any type, any container, which I don't own / I haven't found / is active, within 750km of coordinates, placed during the last week. Screenshot of the preview showing 43 results And a screenshot of the email which says No results. The (archived) PQ can be found here. Can anyone explain why the PQs don't do what the previews say they will, or failing that, shed any light on what else might be going wrong ? I posted this first in the Getting Started forum thinking it was just me, but seems it's not - I think that's a good thing ... Thanks Gary
  2. Well I have to say these dadgum <-- That's NOT the word I used !!! things are still not working. First off, as others have said, scheduled queries are failing to run. Secondly, that doesn't really matter, because all that the emails I get ever say is "no results were found". The PQ lives here, but I archived it in a fit of rage and now - naturally - I can't reverse that. Not sure how long the link will work for ..... Can anyone explain why the GC programmers so consistently fail to make the PQs do what the previews say they will, or failing that, shed any light on what might be going wrong ? Thanks Gary
  3. What the- but ... but .... sheesh !!! On my other PQ's I've had that selected which would explain those lack of results, but on this one I'm certain I changed it ! I've tried another one, checking at every point that it was looking for coordinates, and it gave me some results in the email so that has to be the problem, but I've got no idea how this PQ ended up pointed at my home location ! Thanks Gary
  4. Here you go ... PQ as submitted, previewed, and run ... http://www.geocaching.com/pocket/gcquery.a...92-1dacf8a91056 Cheers Gary
  5. Gidday I'm having a little trouble getting results from PQs. I get results occasionally but it seems quite random (and it's always a pleasant surprise). Just as a test I set one up exactly as per this guide - http://www.markwell.us/pq.htm Here's a screenshot of the criteria just before I hit submit http://www.pbase.com/garylowndes/image/108368852 Here's the preview from a few seconds later, showing 500 results http://www.pbase.com/garylowndes/image/108368853 And here's the email that turned up a minute or so later I've reviewed it several times and can't see a problem. Maybe someone with more experience can point me in the right direction ? Thanks Gary
  6. Ooooh, I got a reply from Garmin. The solution to my problem ? Update to the latest firmware ! It would have been a most practical suggestion except for one small detail - the problem still existed in the latest firmware. Fortunately they included a link to a questionairre asking what I thought of their support. Well, they did ask ... I get the distinct impression I only got a reply at all because the job ticket (36515240) had been open for so long that a firmware update was issued which meant your support people could tell me to update my firmware and flag the job as dealt with. Now that I've helped with your support ticket clearance figures maybe we can get on with fixing the problem with my and everyone elses nuvis ? Gary
  7. I pulled my 60Cx off of the windscreen mount and tossed it in my pocket once when I went into a supermarket. When I looked at the tracks later to my amazement it had tracked me up and down the aisles inside the supermarket, just using what it could see through the windows along the front edge of the building. I'd need a very good reason to go back to a non high senstivity unit, and I have to say price would not enter into that decision - the low sensitivity units might be significantly cheaper, but they're also significantly worse. Gary
  8. And another one ... Mine displays the map ok if I start it within the radius of a tourguide alert, but turns off as soon as I ask it to calculate a route within the proximity radius of any POI including speed cameras. Thanks for the ticket number Pilotsnipes Cheers Gary
