good observation... I believe it says "personal business systems" I am not sure why...... I bought if new off ebay 2 years ago.. I would guess that some company bought them for thier employees and had thier name printed on them....

I like the answers I see here. mostly I make a quick judegement.. If it's a bunch of young kids that might vandlize the cache after we leave. I would just make something up.. but otherwise we tell people that we are geocaching and if they are interested we tell them as much as they want ot know

I have had trouble with cigartte plugs for other devices like cell phone chargers coming apart in the plug but not my Garmin GPS cable... Does it say garmin on it or is it just an aftermarket cable? You might be able to get a replace plug from radio shack and splice it on your cable

I like a program called Easy GPS http://www.geocaching.com/waypoints/download.aspx I use it with my garmin Etrex... Do you have the GPX or LOC files from a pockect query.. as far as I know you need still need to be a Premier member of the Geocaching.com web site($3/month) to be able to download the GPX/LOC files.

My Friend has a garmin Etrex Vista. Does anyone know how to delete all the waypoints? (of course other than one at a time) I have the basic Garmin etrex and it has an option under the waypoints menu to delete all waypoints. Seems like there should be a simple answer but I have checked the manuals with no luck THanks!

Okay I think I had the min/sec thing off. I tried that once before but it did not seem to make a difference.. not sure if it made a dif but this time I changed it and then intialized it and it appears to be right on.. THANKS!!!!!

I am trying to get a friend hooked on caching with his Magellan Gps 315. His unit is consitently about .5mi different than my garmin etrex. I have used my garmin for almost 100 caches and feel confident that it is right on. Does anyone know of any settings in the Magellan Gps 315 that I might need to tweak to get it inline with the rest of the world?
