  1. it happened instantly for me...?
  2. Sweet. I just downloaded greasemonkey and all of the features on the page provided, and is working well:) The features are endless, and there are even some for the forums.
  3. Maybe because this is a discussion forum, for discussion, not simply a question & answer page? Your missing my point. The point is: Why can't people find better things to do, than argue over stupid things like back doors to logging PM caches? I mean common, seriously. Don't you have better things to do with your time? If someone asks a question answer it and be done. No need to start a different topic in the thread, if you feel differently about it, then start you own thread thats open for debate. Thats all I have to say.
  4. Is it just me, or is this topic officially "off-topic"? I mean, sure, there are lots of feelings on whether or not the "back door" should be fixed or not, but that is not what th OP asked. He asked if there was a way, not if it should be closed. Why does every topic around here turn into angst? Can't people be content with simply answering the question?
  5. Does anyone have a link, or can post a large picrue of it. I know that his avatar is the pic I'm looking for, but it's not very big, and his profile doesn't have either. I even Googled it and came up with nothing.
  6. I'm looking for a bumper sticker or one of those decals that you put on your car window that has the picture of Jeremy Irish doing the "Geocaching symbol". The one where he is making a "pistol" with his index finger and thumb, and is holding it under his chin. It's a black and white photo(I'm pretty sure everyone knows which one I'm talking about). Does anyone know where i can get one of these? Or where i can get the full sized picture to take somewhere get one made? Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance!
  7. This one really looks fantastic. How did you make it look so real? The rock doesn't look like concrete, did you have any additional material? Any answer is highly appreciated. In my opinion, the keys to making realistic rocks lie in using realistic molds and properly using colorant. I'm pretty sure that I explained my method earlier in the thread.Yeah, but it could take days to search through this thread Sure, but if a person doesn't look at the earlier posts in the thread, then he/she risks missing great ideas. I totally agree. And it will only take a couple of hours, the above was my failed attempt to be humorous

  9. How about this? Or this? Both of these and more can be found here
  10. Ok, first find and "copy" the GCXXXX of the MOC cache. Then go to any cache page. it doesn't matter. Then click the "log your visit" button on the random cache page. You should see the URL looking something like this "http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?ID=XXXXXX". Replace the "ID" with "WP" and then paste the GCXXXX of the MOC right after the "="(where all the x's are). Hope this helps!
  11. Young kids, say pre teen yes I agree they should and probably will be with an adult, not a problem. Thats not the age I was referencing too, sorry. I was more speaking of teens that cache. An example...a local high school just started a GPS/Geocaching club. Thats a potential problem. You have to agree with that. While I agree that we should be careful about this and not put cigs in caches, if a teen that can cache without supervision and is underage, I think that there are plenty other and easier sources of getting them. Not that people should put them in geocaches, just that I don't think it is a worthy topic to start. It's not become a problem, and wont become one either. I wouldn't worry about it....
  12. Is there any way to search cache listings that are archived or un-published? The reason i ask is because it would be helpful and neat to be able to see where old caches are and where people planned to put caches but never got around to it etc. etc. etc. Any help would be appreciated!
  13. I live in Decatur Illinois. It's not a very big place, so I don't think that will be a problem.
  14. I own a GPSmap76 and want to get some mapsource DVD, specifically metro guide V8 DVD. Does the metro guide work for the GPSmap76? Everywhere i have looked it hasnt said that it doesn't, but i didn't say that it did either. I just want to make sure i don't buy something that doesn't work for my GPS. Thanks in advance for any help!
  15. If I remember correctly(which I may or may not) Groundspeak allows usage of their logo as long as you make under 25 and the it is portraying them in a good sense. Like i said before, i dont think they would have a problem with this...
  16. Haha, actually i live about 4 hours away from Chicago . But, i do live near our state capitol(Blue Mound), so maybe I'll do something that has to do with Lincoln.... or since I'm into pyrotechnics and explosives, I might orient it around that. We'll see. thanks for the comments so far! I will make sure to keep you updated on stuff that i come up with!
  17. This is my coin design. I am looking for questions, comments, suggestions, and anything else i guess. So what do you think? Do you like it? What kind of improvements can/should I make? P.S. The silver lines on the triangle shape that you see on the left pic, does not indicate that there is color change, but rather that there is an incline. The coin will be tapered here, kinda hard to explain...
  18. well, i read the recent link on how to "empty" a light bulb, and here it is the only problem is that it is very weak.any ideas on how to make it strong?
  19. great work, but one problem i did notice. the colors are not in the right corners. if you look at the geocaching symbol, yellow is in the top left corner and orange in the bottom right. in your pic, the yellow is top right and orange bottom left....just something you might want to know...
  20. well, i guess i'm the first. it looks like no one has taken one apart yet. i opened one today and inside there was for batteries. not D-cell. they were the diameter of C-cell's but twice the height. after reading earlier posts, i guess i should look for the(mAh) or whatever, and make sur that it is correct. that should solve the problem
  21. First, in AA battery terms, what is a "wrapper" and second, how do you know that one isn't present? the "wrapper" i was talking about is what gives you information about the battery on the outside of it. you know, the part that might say "duracell" or "energizer". in the video that is given, each battery is jkust plain metal, no wrapper.
  22. now thats awesome!!! my only question is since there is no wrapper on the batteries will this cause leakage?
  23. i completely agree, i was just curious as to why my GPS didnt. i dont think its worty all of guff, or at least to most you. i just thought ide ask, but thanks for all the feedback!
  24. i own a garminGPSmap76. something that i have noticed is, when i cross a time zone, my GPS does not change time. it is always on central time unless i change it. why doesn't it change by itself?
  25. you can no longer post virtuals on geocaching.com. they officially a grandfathered cache .
