  1. Good enough CH! PMBurg has the largest red brick building in the Southern hemisphere. It burnt down in 1895 and was rebuilt in 1901. More info here
  2. Oh oh, I got the "world" part wrong .. Sorry!! Its the biggest in the "Southern Hemisphere" So to re-state the question: Pietermaritzburg has the largest of something in the Southern Hemisphere?
  3. Hmm. Maybe not general knowledge, but I would think it is an "interesting fact" and quite a co-indecent. Ok. Pietermaritzburg has the largest of something in the world. What is it?
  4. Ok. The male part of Nish4, and I, the male part of DamhuisClan, have something very uniquely in common. What is it?
  5. Commercial And Domestic Appliance Company Looks like the many many years my parents have been camping has paid off (LOL) Hope thats the right answer.
  6. My dad knew the answer: So I'll add a hint rather then answering outright.. Commercial And D... A... C....
  7. I got this photo of a dove going to MF2010 Forecast. Cropped the photo slightly to put emphases on the dove and branches. Fijifilm S1800
  8. I'll be running a PQ every day for the next 2 weeks on all the caches in Bloem area. Hopefully I will capture all the logs, and can run some stats on them and see how it went.
  9. Yep. I like it as well. I like the bottom one. As the text next to the "0" makes it look more complete. One little teeny note. Isn't the longitude line a little to sharp by Namibia. Also all coins must have "Track at geocaching.com". This would still need to be added.
  10. Yep, that was an awesome video, and question.
  11. If anybody else is looking at this.... Planet Baobab is a cache not a town.... took me a while to figure that out....
  12. Hi Gerhard We have had a chat between us about the road trip. In concept it looks good, but the 14 days is a little bit to long for us. From what we talked about, a 9 day trip suits us better. So that works out to a weekend, 5 days, and another weekend. I still need to go through your suggested plan, and will report back here once done.
  13. Arggg... the darn spelling fairy is at it again.
  14. For us coming on Sunday. Where do we meet you guys? At the event or the place where you will be staying? We are 3 or 4 teams (in one car) and plan to leave JHB at 3AM, to be there at 7AM. Meet up till about 8AM, and then go caching till about 2PM, then on our way home. Back in JHB (30 caches richer) at about 6PM.
  15. Yep. For some reason Firefox sometimes caches the wrong css file. By clearing the cache it resolves the problem.
  16. No you all have it wrong. Look nicely at the question..... Its ..... with their months! [Ok, ok .... crawling back into my little corner here in on the internet]
  17. I must say I like the ethnic look. It makes it really African. Maybe something like: * Cachers on the hunt. * Hunting with a GPS.
  18. I can help with the graphic design. I am not good but ok. If I need good, I can ask my mom (she is a painter), and my sister in law. She is good with design. Please keep me in the loop as well.
  19. The way I see it; all it means, is an Earth Cache can be in written in any of our 11 'official' languages, and there wont be a problem with it. Do we have any ECs in Afrikaans yet? Who will create the first one? I think it also means that a zulu speaking cacher could create an EC in isiZulu, and it would be accepted (with a translation to the reviewer). If there was one only in Zulu would you do it? Would make for interesting translations....
  20. I am in as well. Will need to buy a TB though.
  21. The way I understand it is that googling implies any online source. But if you happenned to read up on X a few days before on site Y, and the question gets asked, or you saved the web page locally on your PC, then yes you can answer it.
  22. If it is possible to figure out a route which a which a normal car can drive, I am in. Wife, kids and me. I think it should be possible to get to Livingstone in a normal car, and hope from there we can double up in the 4x4s and drive the last little bit to Vic falls, in them. In the 10 day trip, what are the aproximate/estimate trip? 2 days travel, 6 days in Livingstone, 2 days trip back?
  23. Hi Gerhard Ai ai ai... We might chase numbers seperatly, but we all do this geocaching thing together. Nou wat het jy dan anders verwag? I was also thinking along the lines of an event at Livingstone. Only thing is I refuse to travel via Zimbabwe, and support that Mogabe .... < haal diep asem ... voor daar sekere woorde deur kom>. I am game for such a trip, but do not have a 4x4 (yet). Lets hope I can get one before then, and that our plans line up.
