  1. I use an Axim X5 with a SiRF III CF card GPS and have found it to be very reliable when driving/wandering around using TomTom. I don't use it generally for caching, although I have done on occassion when my Garmin has run out of battery. It's been a while since I used it but I think I used BeeLineGPS.

     

    I have GpxView to view files from PQs when I need to & MemoryMap and this is all stored on a 2GB SD card.

     

    I'd recommend a SiRF III card as the old one I had (sorry, I can't remember the type) frequently lost signal. I have a car charger and keep it plugged in and topped up, I also carry a spare internal back-up battery with me for emergencies.

     

    I'm not too hot on the techi stuff but I know it works ok for me :rolleyes:
