  1. I've seen it many times. I do a lot of photography equipment, and have seen many, many instances of folks buying something on e-bay that is used and paying considerably more for it than a new one with warranty delivered to their door! Makes you want to reach through the internet and strangle them! dadgum people...do your homework!
  2. The most obvious difference between them is the ability of the emap to accept Mapsource maps (with added memory chip) It's biggest drawback where you will be concerned is it's lack of watertight integrity. This could be an issue in the out of doors, unless you protect it well. Also, because it is not waterproof, I would think dust could be a serious concern. I like them both, but don't consider them to be equitable units. They were really designed with different purposes in mind.
  3. O.K......Roads & Rec. does not specifically mention the E-Map as a compatable garmin unit, but for the life of me, I can't imagine why R & R wouldn't download to the E-Map. Anyone have any experience with these?
  4. Nice job Anders!
  5. quote: We still need the web site of your business. Some of us might want to buy from you! Ranger Roger: I don't own a business, I just work at a large sporting goods store in Utah (Sportsman's Warehouse) and I sell GPS receivers and accessories. I really wish I owned this business!
  6. How come it worked this time??!!??!!
  7. Well, I tried to do it! Under my profile signature, I put with the URL inbetween. Still didn't work! I dunno......
  8. I dunno why the link on my signature showed a link and not a picture! http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/7871_200.jpg
  9. I use the "Energizer AccuRechargeable" universal charger. It does both NiMH and NiCads with a flip of a swithch. Works great and I got it on sale for $10.00! http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/7871_200.jpg
  10. Just to more "systems" within your GPSR to go bad when your warranty is up.
  11. Just to let you know....I applied "WriteRight" (by Fellowes) to the screen of my Garmin V, and it works great! For those of you who haven't heard of it, it is usually used to protect the screens of PDA's. It also works great to protect and "fix" the beam pattern of MagLites. (and probably a lot of other flashlights, too)
