  1. Liam is a shortened form of William - His Grandpa's middle name is William, and His Great Grandpa's first name is William. We have always like the name, but there are already several William Polletts in the Family. We liked the name Liam also and he is the first Liam in the Family. The Many meanings of Kai The Name has various origins and meanings in different cultures... Hawaiian: Sea or Ocean Scandinavian: 'keeper of the keys; earth' Finnish: 'rejoice' Navajo: 'willow tree' Maori: food; eat Chinese: 'unceasing (like silk)' Mandarin: victory; triumphant Burmese: 'strong; unbreakable' Japanese: 'change; mediation' Welsh: normally spelt Cai, from the Arthurian legend Sir Kay Estonian: a female name meaning 'pier' Germanic languages: 'quay; safe harbour' Yoruba, a Nigerian language: 'love' We first found the name for the Hawaiian meaning, but when we researched it and found it had so many other meanings in so many cultures it was settled. and we liked the sound of Liam Kai together. We had a short list of other names we liked too, but we were waiting to meet him before we made our choice. and when we did meet him he looked like Liam Kai Pollett to us! Thanks again to all who entered our cointest and many thanks for all the well wishes!

  9. Thank you to all our secret Santas. We really enjoyed putting together all of our missions, we hope that those who received them liked them too! Especially those that went over seas, there was much more in the missions than what was sent. But when I got to the post office I soon realized I didn't have the $200.00 to ship them as is, so I had to condense them down to a flat rate box. We managed to fit in the important things (the coins) plus a few goodies, but next year I think we'll just do one or two missions so we can go a little more crazy! Mission 1: Sofi 1. 11. My favorite Christmas gift ever was a fairly recent one. Three Christmases ago Holmbiorn and I went down to look at the village that is set up around our city center every year. While walking around the lights and minature buildings that are set out and decorated he pulled me to one side, told me how amazing the past year had been and how the only thing that could possibly make him any happier would be if we made it official... Then he got down on one knee in the snow and proposed! Everytime I glance at my left hand I still get that giddy feeling of a kid on Christmas morning.

  18. I know! I tried to hunt you down to meet you when I heard your name called out on one of the raffles- totally surprised someone else who probably thought I was a stalker following her around the entire room trying to catch her. Well there's alway Geowoodstock next year...

  21. I learned- MustangJoni gives great hugs Tsun is very sweet Joel makes *fabulous* coins The Moop is very funny I also learned the value of bringing snacks since the baby is not nearly as forgiving of skipping meals as I usually am that I am a total sucker for cute little boys coming around trading coins (an AE for what turned out to be a non-trackable? Suuure, why not!) and that it is very dangerous to leave all the cash in Holmbiorn's wallet when he wants to 'wander for a minute'!
  22. I'll probably get in trouble for this, lol <moderator edit to remove the OP's name from the quote, since the OP did not say that. You'd be putting words in his mouth. You can make your point, but you can't quote him if he didn't say that> I sure do *heart* you Tsun! I think this is my favorite reply ever....
