Due to the inability of the Stats site or maybe this sites hidden cache stats to recognize the"/" as a character, I've been forced to change our caching name from freelens/mosie to Freelens&Mosie. The question is do my old cache finds and hides automaticaly migrate to the new name or do I need to do something? Also what do I need to do to get things straight on Dan's page. Markwelling is acceptable. Thanks.

It snowed in Cape Canaveral yesterday. I'm thinking Jamaica. If I ever see another snow flake it will be too soon. I do love all you people who love the cold and snow however. If it weren't for people like you Paradise would be more crowded than it already is.

My guess if the original price were $4, they still would have sold out. Decon boxes are the best small cache container bar none. That price is not that outrageous. Send me some, I'll give you $5.

The exception occured this week. I found the cache but was unable to access the log book to log it due to a miscalculation at the very beginning. I posted a note saying I did yet didn't find it. In my eyes it was a DNF just not represented by the depressing little sad face icon. I found it and logged it the next day so the Universe has realigned and all is again right with the world. Just a little plug, if you are within a 100 mile radius of the "Out on a Limb" cache, you should plan on doing it. Lots of fun.

When I left last night there were like 35 people there. Just wondered if there is a limit to the number allowed in the room.

....is what I use. But you need a serial cable. I bought one for under $30 and it has been well worth it. I never use the little walking guy to find caches. I always use the compass with distance readout. When close I change use the Lat/Lon. to zero in.

I have only encountered 1 cache that I did not thoroughly enjoy and that one was partly due to my attitude that day. I like them all so far. I guess if I had to choose it would be ones that were very clever or required a good amount of thought and preparation. The ones hidden in plain site in a very busy place come to mind. There is no comparison to the rush one gets when stealthily retrieving a cache that's in plain site of the muggles. You have the added pressure of not revealing and ruining the cache owners hard work. My worst fear is to be the last finder on a lost cache. I should have been a spy.

I'm curious as to how often people check their caches. I would like to know what you do today right now so I have the Markwell shields up. Since so many new people have joined the game of late I thought it would be interesting to check the trend.

Post the coordinates to the shop and say boats are available there. I have seen caches that have mentioned nearby restaurants and shops that have been approved with no problem. I doubt the guy is going to suddenly get rich off of the flood of geocachers to your cache. Then again what did you say was in it?

We think it's a good idea to support the site. We leave it as members only for the first week or 2. It has the added bonus of keeping the first find from being "Thanks, took $20 left cache box open." It seems to me that cachers tend to be a little more careful and better traders as their find count goes up, and the longer they cache the more likely they will become members.
Don't start on the Hummer for Jeremy stuff, if Bill Gates didn't make a ton of money, we would all be using Word Perfect or Macwrite. Now that's a sobering thought.

After she has gone on a cache you will have to beg to get your GPS back. Caching is basicly a womens sport, much like shopping.

Writting cache coordinates on a sign is probably no more an eyesore than the sign itself. Do the sign owners mind a few small little numbers written on the back. Probably not. You guys would argue with yourself if no one else was here.

...if GC.c provided the local stats like Dan does to members only, I think they would need to move to a larger space to accomodate the servers they would be able to afford. Maybe even a garage for the hummer.

A group of us have started making our new caches members only for the first weekend or two. I believe that it might help to support the site and it gives dedicated cachers a better chance at first finds. I decided to do this after my first cache had the following first find log in it.
"It was nice to be the first one to find the cache
What a beautiful walk we took the long way and really enjoyed the walk
we took the Nascar 2 disk set computer game, the where's george origami elephant, and Ho the travelbug.
Left a few kid toys from Sonic hope they enjoy them."
Members don't do that.
You need to be extra careful when providing this service to members tho...sorry Blueman..I'll do better next time.
As for the benefits , I don't know what use pops are but the pocket queries are priceless. With the help of a very cool program that is available pocket queries can be used to sort caches by type and keyword just to name a few. Thanks

200 cigar boxes at $200 get wiped out by 200 harm missles at a cost of what $5000 each? Plus the $20 or $30K each it takes to deliver them. Oh boy, we spending my money now.

I recently placed this cache in my town. I haven't had any visits yet so I'm not sure how well it will be received. My appologies if you can't read it, I make all my caches members only for the first week or so. It is a combination benchmark, micro, virtual with a traditional final. If the sites are related it would be better. If they are close, I'd rather they were made into a multi rather than kept seperate.
