  1. a pretend cell phone when I'm driving. I don't have a real one and I feel left out. I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  2. If it doesn't mention the business on the web page or try to sell you something it should be o.k. If no one else has thought of it yet I say go for it. You can maintain it from Michigan as easy as from Seattle. Wish it was more realtime. I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  3. callup someone close and say "Hey how far is it to X"? I'm just lazy I guess. I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  4. My radius is only a semicircle however so I should get 200 miles. I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  5. I think most people have discovered this by accident. Orange vests work as do hard hats in certain situations. If you are looking for a cache in urban areas it is best to go with at least 7 other people. If only one of you is doing anything, you will just like you're city workers. I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  6. quote:Hey theres a thought!! Or I can become a disgruntled cacher and run amuck. Armed with dayglo orange spray paint for all the local caches...lol You have to find mine first. What the heck is GDC? I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  7. quote:Originally posted by DeerChaser & Poni:I had to move the first cache, #2 was stolen with in 2 days. And my last cache that I hollowed out a log for was just burnt up in a fire after a long 4 days of being placed. I give up!!! Where was the controlled burn? Which cache? I think there were others there if I'm not mistaken. I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  8. It didn't appear to be a hail to the real Hitler, just a reference. What bothers me is that "you" think it should bother me. Why not just email the guy and ask before placing posts like this? I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  9. I didn't turn it on. My knees got a little weak about 0930 tho. I think it must have been an especially strong gravity wave. I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  10. Is there a chance that the crew at GC.c will provide a stats page? Seems like a good way to get people to become members. Even though we all like to say that stats don't matter, we know they do. A game with no score isn't a game at all. It's still a great hobby but not a game. Although I appreciate Dan's site, and I know he is very busy, it has never given me the right stats from day 1. Most of it was my fault, i.e.changing names, using a name with a / in it, etc. Just wondered if it is ever going to be possible to have a stats page with the correct info. Don't bother providing me with all the hoops I need to jump through to make everything better. They don't work that well. I heard at 1 point that Infosponge I think was going to take it over. As I said, I appreciate what we have but.... I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  11. quote:Originally posted by King Pellinore:How to hide a certain piece to the puzzle? I want to provide people who hunt a particular cache to have to make a decision between one option or the other, but I don't want them to be able to come back and take the other when they find that one doesn't work. Any ideas on how to effect this? King Pellinore They will always have the option to start over. I don't see how you can prevent it except as above making it a real hassle to find out you were wrong. I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  12. is natures way of keeping everything from happening at once. I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  13. Blueman, I'm just glad I got to meet you before you became a star. I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  14. sounds good to me I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  15. I heard that the power for the site is provided via a generator hooked to the power-takeoff of Jeremy's Hummer. He must have decided to go caching again didn't get back before the UPS gave out. I have my own little world. But it's OK...they know me here.
  16. I have never heard of a Teepee replacement for a moved cache. But then again, I don't get out much. A day without sunshine is like ...night.
  17. quote:Originally posted by TeamTJ:Anyone know how many members-only caches there are? Just curious if the $$ is worth it. Thanks! TeamTJ Before the arrogant hijacking of this thread the original question should be repeated. My answer is I don't know how many, probably not many and yes it is worth it. If you are the kind of person who has never payed for shareware, although it is one of your favorite applications, then you most likely won't get the satisfaction that some of us have for supporting the site. If I didn't feel good about giving something back I wouldn't do it either. A day without sunshine is like ...night.
  18. The problem is most likely that you are using the incorrect datum. A day without sunshine is like ...night.
  19. I also saw the shuttle take off. I watch everyone, usually from my front yard, and I hold my breath each time. I am sometimes awakened by the double sonic boom that rattles my windows when it returns home and lay there with a smile knowing they are back safe. Not this time. God bless them all. 20. I changed our logging name and have not been able to recover. The reason I changed was because although the log reporting structure or interface or whatever seemed to recognize the "/" as a character in a name, the logs you have placed reporting didn't. After requests as to why and getting no answer I changed my name.I listed about half of my caches as missing logs and waited for a week and nothing happened. I was trying to avoid asking Dan to do a global change. I have since found some possible work arounds that require alot of work. Sigh maybe I'll just try again. 21. So what's the story on the stats page? I heard Dan was giving it up. I haven't been able to make much use of it lately. Is someone else going to take it over? A day without sunshine is like ...night.

CR http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/72057_2000.gif I've done a cache where they would have come in handy but weren't really necessary. A day without sunshine is like ...night.
  23. quote:Originally posted by The Leprechauns:I spent four days in November tagging along with a prolific female geocacher. Until then, I thought I was pretty good, but I spent the week eating her dust. I know of whom you speak. She is in the top ten of Florida cachers. She achieved this lofty title after less than 1 month caching in my state. I stand in total awe. A day without sunshine is like ...night.
  24. Relates to the TB I think. Its is mentioned on the TB page as # hspeia A day without sunshine is like ...night.
