a few weeks ago i hoped on my bike and rode out to a cache that i had DNF a few days earlier. since i was already out there, and i had the day free I rode out to all the unfound cache in my garmin. about half i remembered reading the page for, but mostly i just winged it. kinda fun, but i did log quite a few DNFs...

By the way, NBJ I would recommend checking out my three midtown caches in my Follow Me Home series. The three could be completed within 2 hours, all done on foot. Have fun!

The area is called the Palisades which runs the length of the Hudson up past the George Washington Bridge.
That reminds me - I still have to find The Giant's Stairs. Who's with me?

Ive only ever been asked once. by a car full of cops. I walked over to the car and told them i was on a scavenger hunt. They drove off thinking i was insane.
Given it was past midnight and i was over waist deep into thick bushes with nothing really scenic on either side of them, while using a flashlight...

I get bored finding plain old tupperware containers, so i've kind of vowed not to place any.
Ive placed 3 already and have planned two more.

I read into Geocaching after I discovered wheresgeorge in college. I was really interested in the game, but at the time couldnt possibly afford a GPSr so i forgot about it.
Im not sure what reminded me about it, but recently I stumbled across the website again and decided that this was something that I wanted to try. I bought my legend cx and have been actively caching for about 2 months and have found 43 caches. im hooked. i think i was hooked even before i ever found one...

What about flooding the area with really really hard to find micro just to frustrate him? Put a note on the log pages for cachers not to find them, and see what happens?
like 100 different 35mm containers....

I am inceasingly dismayed by geocatch postings which provide so many clues to the location that it deminish the whole concept. When I got involved in this I thought the concept was to use our GPS units to navigate to the site. Now I find that so many postings have such detailed information that you can get within a few feet without even using the GPS.
cache not catch....
sorry, someone had to point that out...
-
too obvious. maybe just a Signal patch or http://www.geocaching.com/images/nav/logo_sub.gif

Definitely Chloe (spelling??) from the TV show "24". That woman could find a cache without leaving her computer desk I'm sure.
Olar
can i change my vote? right on....

i have nothing personal against tupperware, and they serve their purpose very effectively.
However I find they have no character. I love ammo boxes (tho ive never planted one) beacause they have character. ive used a decon container.
i found a tupperware container near a cemetary recently and it just seemed so trashy. I just personally like to put more thought into my containers.
I regularly seach ebay and the web for new/clever containers.
my most recent cache container

uv paint can be found at a variety of stores both on line and real world.
i recomend Rosco ClearColour..
it can get pricy tho.
For computer mod.ers, they make a uv sensitive spray paint that is much more resonablly priced (maybe $10 per can) called neonMaxx

Tread Lightly

Just wanted to point out that Tread Lightly was reference in an article that was written just yesterday in the NJ Star-Ledger.
My feelings on TL are that they have a great goal and purpose, however that they may take things a little too far and a little too seriously...
EDIT: wanted to add the link to the NJ article:
