And for those of you that are getting the black line/gray screen of death on your Etrex, Garmin says to do this: Thank you for contacting Garmin International! You can disable WAAS on your Legend so it will work right now. Here are the instructions to do so: With the unit powered on, please press MENU twice Press ENTER on SETUP Press ENTER on SYSTEM Press ENTER under WAAS Press ENTER on DISABLED Once you have your computer cable, please use these instructions to update the Legend: 1. Please go to the WebUpdater webpage by clicking on the following link: http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection....ct=999-99999-27 2. You will see a link labeled Download, please click on it. 3. You will be asked if you want to Run or Save the file, please click Run. 4. After the file downloads, you may receive a security warning; if you do, please click Run. 5. Please select your setup language and click Next (the following instructions are based on the English selection). 6. You will see a new window; please click Next. 7. A license agreement will appear; please agree to the terms and then click Next. 8. You will see the destination folder, please click Next. 9. Click Install; the WebUpdater installation will begin. 10. After the installation, please ensure that there is a checkmark next to Yes, I want to launch WebUpdater now and then click Finish. 11. The WebUpdater program will launch - again, please ensure that your unit is connected to the computer and turned on. 12. Click Next; you will then be prompted to select your GPS. 13. A new window will appear with information about the update for your unit, please click Next. 14. A new license agreement will appear, please click that you agree and then click Next. 15. The unit's internal operating system/software (sometimes called "firmware") will then be updated. 16. Once the download is complete, please click Finish. The unit is now updated and ready to use. -
To make a very long story short. Garmin Venture HC (very user friendly unit w/waas) www.adorama.com=117.00. Wal-Mart (what a joke) same gps exactly=199.00. Walmart wouldnt match the online price, but did refund my money to purchase the other.

Biggest geocaching scare...
Colorado Cacher replied to sunsetmeadowlark's topic in General geocaching topics
GC17TX9-I heard movement over the edge of the access road and took a peak. Reached up into my Camelbak, pulled out the camera, and snapped a quick picture-and just kept on walking. -
Thats just dirty rotten wrong. Maybe, and just maybe, if I were interested in where it would get to if purchased i would sell like that, but I am thinking it would have to end up somewhere out of the USA so another could enjoy it overseas.........maybe, still not sure.

Too mkae a long story short, I almost shot Santa one night while responding to a burglar alarm, and doing a walk thru of the store. Walked into a darkroom and saw this guy standing in the corner........he just about took a .357 magnum.

Wierdest thing you have ever found in a cache
Colorado Cacher replied to thehelmz's topic in General geocaching topics
Yah that's a very good idea. I will remember that for future caches - you never know what could be in there! X's 2. I guess that I have a new way to view the contentes of a cache, thanks for the tip. Ah, gift cards, they rock! I have found them in the secure trash at work I go through to toss out, and then I call the number on the back, or website search, for the balance. I have found alot of money this way. I think I read somewhere that the amount of gift cards that NEVER get used is 3 billion a year-a great money maker for any company. Great finds for Colorado Cacher. -
http://jeep.geocaching.com/ Anybody else notice in the picture that the new jeeps will have two entirely different tire treads? One pair up front, and a different pair on back.

I am married? -
Email sent, and don't worry Ebay don't get any of my collection. I can't believe I even see Lackey coins on there-------that is shameful!

I am in posession of one that I will be letting loose this weekend at the Ron-Day-Vous in Colorado. A very nice coin it is indeed.

Just something to toss around for you and yours if your thinking of buying another; DO NOT go with Kodak DX4900.
