  1. I try to leave old padlocks as FTF in my caches, it helps to clean my place up from all the brass I collected while locksmithing.
  2. Me, I'll take the photo's shown up on top. The personal touch from fellow geocachers has "class" written all over it.
  3. I am usually caching in the Colorado Springs/Colorado area by myself 99% of the time also. Never ever mean any type of scare to anyone I come across in the area/woods. Usually always have my Geocaching hat on, headphones rocking, and yes sometimes I carry a firearm(have a permit), sometimes the Schrade BT01 knife-it's for my own protection when I am way back in the woods alone-I have come across all kinds of animals out here alone. Bear, rattlesnakes (Garden of the Gods trail systems), scorpions (Pueblo reservoir), Bighorn sheep, Coyotes, mountain lionless so far. It's all about my safety, not hacking somebody up in the woods. Listening to and watching the Bighorn sheep walk around in the brush-or-watching the buck deer "rack" on the mesa edge, which was the best so far? Hmmmm.
  4. It's only dangerous if it ends up being your last Geocaching adventure.
  5. Paid..........Why? Because it allows me the privilege of being a geocacher that knows he supports the cause for others; to keep the fun going and hope that they enjoy it for a long, long, long time to come. Where else are you gonna get this type and amount of exercise for thirty some dollars a year?
  6. Once again I would suggest that their account be suspended until they can learn to respect the others they play with. I had one held for six months also.
  7. My CHESTER Tb. Chester Cheetah rocks.
  8. Place one ammo container half full of concrete in the stream under the bridge with a note in it "the cache is above you under the bridge", towels not provided.
  9. www.gpscity.com mine was dirt cheap ($15.00) for a rotating, tilt, snap in Magellan dash mount.
  10. I would like to find this in one of my caches please. Gwen Stefani.
  11. Let them be anti-geocachers. It allows me more of the mountain tops that they arent upon when I am there. I get all theat nature and beauty to myself. Oh please do stay home and watch your tv, spend money at your favorite corporation on their tv commercials, get fat, and die young. More for me to enjoy for longer then.
  12. I would love to go cachign wih you folks on horseback. Until my alergies kick in, lol. I love horses they are I believe a very beautiful and graceful animal. My eyes dont believe that though when they water up and get all puffy.
  13. http://www.containerandpackaging.com/ Do some similar searches and see what comes up.
  14. Purchased anything geocaching related or so named and it was total junk in the quality line? This thread has not been created to slam, degrade, or insult others. Simply to see what exists as a "customer service" &/or "quality" issue. What items have you found to be Best, Better, or Bad. P.S.-Why am I doing all of this for a frog?
  15. I can get about 8-9 feeet away with WAAS being established on the gps.
  16. Investigate whether or not your county and/or its neighbors have a search and rescue department. In Colorado your fishing license has a .25 cent surcharge so they can come and get you anywhere you may be when you ask for their help. The Department of Wildlife also has hiking "permits" from the state at the cost of approximately $15.00 for a five year period that pays for search and resue efforts anywhere or time you may need them. Personally I would rather pay $15.00 to $20.00 instead of the standard $2000.00 an hour for the helicopter ride if I need it.
  17. I would of thought now that Goofus and Gallant would be doctors or convicts, or one of each. They never seem to have left the doctors office.
  18. Ok Jeremy I have to know where in Colorado you were born, since I have been here all my life.
  19. You can contact a few people (?) up in Washington or Oregon state if they are out and about. Seems to be they only get "sighted" about every five years though.
  20. If you gps needs deet to keep the skeeters off of it I dont want to see the size of them dudes.
  21. LEATHERMAN(Geocacher) says that a certain type and amount of led's will produce so many lumens. This info. I have been looking for forever. Is this on the light packages, etc? I have yet to see it listed on them. or is it me? I have been looking for lumens info. on lots of lights before I spend but where can one/we/I find it? Thanks in advance.
