  1. Got mine today and they are awsome, the pictures does them no justice , when you have them in your hand you will see how beautiful they are. Thanks for such a great coin. USA 45
  2. The sale went on the 15 I think any way I got mine today, if you are signed up there you get emails telling you when things are up for sale. Beautiful, It's really a piece of work. USA 45
  3. Looks to me to be just a commercial plug for Adventure Consultants and as such goes against Groundspeak guidelines. Unfortunately by posting it here you have succeeded in aiding this, but I can understand your curiosity. I would be very curious also. Depending on the views of the moderators, some or all of the content of your post might be edited out. I'm confused, under your picture it says this note was placed before your coin was. So do you still have the coin? It also says ALL the trackables will be taken to the Hillary cache Is this a joke? . Sounds like this person has lost his marbles. I 'm not sure how this virtual coin thing works. I see why people are putting out copies. USA 45
  4. I think you send design to Groundspeak get it ok and buy the numbers
  5. Go to your cache page click on a tB and go to it's page drop down the mileage box mark it as missing. go back to your page and do same thing with the rest.
  6. From what I read this was a traditional cache, SO if they down loaded it and beings it was not listed properly they found it . Signed log and went on their way. most people who download the quaries never get to read the pages. If it was not listed as an Earth cache it was not their fault. And I don't think I woild go back and take a picture if it was far away. So I would let the cache owner do what they want.
  7. Hold it right there buddy.... geocoins are NOT trade items. Also, "quality" is subjective and what may be worthless to you can be a collectible to somebody else. Frankly, I'm getting tired of seeing these greed threads start up. If you're in this sport for the swag, go find another game to get involved with or get used to being disappointed. Viking1967 you fit the description of an "elitist cacher." Mctoys are for kids not for selfish complainers like yourself. One of your found it logs: The 2nd cache of the day for our weekend in Vancouver! What a great city and a great park! Took Canadian flag sticker and left Tahoma nose TB (Go Juniors!)TFTCSL Geocoins and travel bugs aren't trade items, it looks like it is you who doesn't "Know your Geo Etiquette." When you start hiding your own caches maybe you can complain about the quality of swag. At the bare minimum, you should be greatful for selfless cachers who take the time, spend the money, and hide caches for other cachers to enjoy.. Very well put Kit Fox, Do people forget that kids go with the parents geocaching? As far as Micky Dee toys there are a lot of them still in their origianl bags that are collectables. Geocaching was not started for finding swag. No one says you have to take swag . As far as a Geocoin they are ment to travel , I try and leave a TB or coin in place of ones if I take it. I have a cache now that I have to go put swag in. All the swag is gone and non left . Only thing there are coins. Don't want to dissapoint the kiddies. I will also put some Red Rose Tea collectables in it. LOL how many people know what they are? Are we getting greedy , I'm just glad when they find my cache. Thats the point find it. USA 45
  8. Squirt and I found several "PathTags" in Tennessee this week but I can't quite figure out what to do with them. We created an account and added them to our collection. Now what? If we drop them in a cache somewhere do they stay in our collection? Does the next finder also add it to thier collection? Their yours to keep for your collection. Unless they have something that says they are to be moved on. USA 45
  9. Some people like my self don't know that the TFH means on your cache title. And when people are traveling and download pocket queries, It does not give all the information on your page, So I guess you will be deleating a lot of them if they are travelers. Maybe if you put Sign on your cache the finder will not log it if they don't meet the requirements. Just location, hints. things like that comes up. I'm just happy when someone finds my cache and logs. Seems requirements are really getting sticky to fine caches.
  10. I am a premium member. I place coins in my member only caches and in my regular caches. I don't worry about who takes the coins, non-member or member. The coins are meant for people to enjoy. I would like to know where it is written in Groundspeak's rules that Premium Member caches are only for other premium members to find. How did you come to the conclusion that PM caches have nicer swag in them? I stock all my caches the same way. To the original poster, enjoy the "coin" you found. You did nothing wrong IMHO. If you email me your address I shall send you a coin as a gift to get your collection started. Jodi As far as MO caches I have found one ,I don't really look for them any more. Usually I have a non member with me and I can't see why they can't log it since they helped find it. But they didn't, and I have been to better swag and coin caches then that one. So I don't think , even from just the one I found that they are nicer. I was told the reason people make MO chaces where to keep the traffic down in the area where it is hid. And that some people don't like nonmembers in their caches. These are just some of the answers I got when I asked people who have MO caches. To each his own. I see Jodi feels same way I do about this. You should have email on l my gift to you. Enjoy. USA 45
  11. well you have 1 of 300 he had made. so enjoy it. And after looking at the link I see it it a sig, Item USA 45
  12. The one coin was left by Larry739 and its the PS KC sunshine coin he said nothing about leaving a wooden nickle. May be you should email him and find out if he left both
  13. Enjoy it Moonstar 27, and welcome to the forum sceen, Most sig items you can keep. Some make more than one Sig item. USA 45
  14. It's coming up under the first number TB XXXX not the other one
  15. When something don't work try try again , lol glad you got it taken care of. Welcome to caching. Have fun. USA 45
  16. Ok It stilll says it in that cache, did you put the right number in the Tracking section. And when it came up did you chose retrived from that cache?
  17. Well I'm just going by the cache number you put in your first post. and it is disabled.
  18. It shows that cache being disabled for some reason last log was April 10. So your log will not show up. Maybe when its opened again it might show it.
  19. I guess I would have to say yes to first question Reason , I started to do it also. People are lest apt to keep them.
  20. And here all the time Droo I thought you were caching on a scooter, not a "Tortoise" , hummm I think we all read between the lines on that one.
  21. Like eartha said , Maybe new cachers. I had a local new cacher that brought a friend with him as he was doing my caches. Well I check my caches everyday and noticed a coin gone that belonged to someone else. I waited a day or so and then email the young man. He said his friend like it so he took it. (Friend not a cacher) it took us a few weeks but we finally got that coin back and on it's way to another cache. I figured since this cacher only had like 3 caches under his belt that he had not come acrossed a geo coin and didn't understand they were to be moved on. I told him the swag was to keep if he wanted to trade something. Now he is well on his way to being a great cacher and an honest one at that. USA 45
  22. I wasn't going to do this but I had to add my 3 cents worth. I had a special coin tag that I had made and was putting it out for very special Hero's. Well I sold quit a few and gave a lot away. Then the emails started, Is there any way I can have the dog tag replaced as it was stolen before it got it's first mile. (not youGeocaching-Geckos ) Well the dog tags are not like the one's you get from Groundspeak that have original and a copy. ( WHATS THE COPY FOR) I really don't know other than to release it after your original gets stolen. Only Thing I could come up with was to make a Pictures tag of the Hero ((like the ones I send out with the tag that has that persons Hero on it))) and on the back put the number. The deal is when You buy a tag from me , I put another one out in my state of the Hero you want. Well I decided since they were getting stolen, the ones I put out here in my state for the Hero is a copy. The original will go to a family member of that soldier. I don't keep the original. I have 229 out right now and only about 1/8 of them are copies. I have no problem moving a copy as I know there just might have a great looking icon. and thats one more notch in my belt. If you don't want to move a copy thats fine someone will. Biggest disappointment I had was the dang cache was muggled ,after walking in the pouring rain, mud slick hills for a mile, now thats a disappointment. I could care less what is in the cache I just want to find it. If there is something that needs to be moved I try and move it. And with that I'm done .USA 45
  23. Thanks Rockin Roddy for your feels on this for the reviewers/Mod's As always you seem to be the type of person who like to smooth things over with the forums and you also do it in private emails and you are thanked for that also. Only problem I have with all the ruckus from the last 2 days was the fack there were 15 pages of posting. We did not get to hear the other side of the party who was accused of what the Op posted. A lot of us learned a few things or two from those pages . I know a Mod. can close a post when they see fit. But they can also go in and edit that post. And warn the Op. The word that offened this Mod. was only 4 letters long. And if edit would would have not taken out any part of what the sentence said. And I would have rather seen him edit the post than shut it down. After 15 pages you think the Mod would have let it go, by editing it so we could see the rest of the comments. Which some of us were waiting for. The Op posted and bingo the tread is closed. I know there would have been a lot of comments after the Op posted. I asked for the post to be close long before it got to 15 pages. That was a someone ticked me off post and vent vent and I did. A few people who were surpended from the forums (GUIDELINE Breaking) for this tread, Because the gave a view that was not aloud. But I thought the forums were here to express your self to a point on a tread. I guess it's another Do as We say, Not as We do. The Reviewers/Mod's are only human they make mistakes as we all do. Never know we might have learned a lot more if the tread was left alone. But I have learned somethings. Well by closing the tread it left a bad taste in my mouth. Just Don't Rock The Boat is what we are seeing here. USA 45
