OK, this is strange. I found a way to renew my membership, but it seems no one wants my money! I can send an e-mail money transfer directly from my bank to Groundspeak, but it seems no one there will respond to me....... Is this weird or what?????

And maybe force them to get the tattoo huh? Care to volunteer to hold them in the chair Halden?

Because we work out of a basement? Unfortunately we can't afford to have an operator on standby to take your order. We also don't have the equipment or merchant account to take credit cards. Could it not be set up so that we can call and IF there is someone there (I'm sure there usually is) then they could take the information? I'm also sure it can't be too hard to get setup with a merchant number and the equipment needed to do this. Another suggestion. Not sure how it works in the States, but here in Canada we can pay most things through our online bank account. I wonder if you could be set up there?

Very true. It makes no difference to me if they change the logo. I love my tat and it's special to me alone. A few days ago I had to have it recolored as he missed a few little spots, but it's looking so much better now! I'll have to take some new pics....

I agree. Sending a cheque or money order is a hassle and costs too much. I tried once again last night to get my premium membership, but Paypal will not accept an American Express Corporate card. I called AMEX and they said that Paypal was not considered a business related expense and as such they refuse to allow me to use the card there. Jeremy, why can't we just call GC directly and use a credit card? What's the problem with this?????? I want to sign up and be a premium member and refuse to pay cheque or money order fees. I also want it renewed annually. Can you do something about this????????????

Magellan rules? Hmmmmm, sounds to me like you have to try a Garmin. I had the Meridian Gold for 6 months and could not wait to get rid of it. I just hated it, but to each his or her own, right? Personally I don't think there will be all that many problems with this unit. Garmin has been making GPS Units for many years now and seems to have it down right. I wonder if anyone here has purchased a Vista,V, Geko or what have you when they first came out. Were there any design problems?

I was talkig to another Geocaching friend of mine, Kyocera, and if his g/f allows, he may get a Geocaching tattoo when he hits 100 finds!

Maybe Garmin runs on hospital time. When they say 15 minutes, it can easily run 6 or more hours!!!!

I travel a lot with my job, as much as 7000km per month, so for me to have lots of caches is not a problem. Also, there are not many poeple caching up this way yet, so as long as the cache is not destroyed by an animal or Muggle, then it's not a problem.

Well at last check I was around 130 caches hidden and 150 found. (No I DID NOT find my own caches!!!!)

If there is anyone from NS here please help. I am going to NS in the morning. Is there a lot of snow near Halifax? I wonder if it would be posible to find some caches while there...... Thanks!

From my understanding, this unit has no backlight. It is always lit because it ahs a color TFT screen, like a Pocket PC.

Being from Canada, it's nothing but a pain to use cheques. Having to run to the bank to get the money changed into US$...... UNfortunately, Paypal does not accept an American Express Corporate card, so I'm kind of left out. Anyone know if Groundspeak will take the Amex directly instead of going through Paypal?

I'm alone most of the time. Best guess would be 85%....
