  1. I was already thinking of that. Any idea what size ring Julie takes? Just my $0.02--but if you ask her for her ring size, and then deliver a geocaching ring (no matter how nice) you will be in soooo much trouble... You have no idea ho much trouble I would be in! Squeaky Mouse IS my girlfriend and Julie is a good friend of hers!!!! Will anyone be attending my funeral?
  2. I was already thinking of that. Any idea what size ring Julie takes?
  3. Sounds cool. Can she make a gold ring? How much would that be? How long to get this done?
  4. I see so many beautiful ideas here and figured someone could point me in the right direction for something I'm looking for. I would LOVE to have a ring (finger ring) with the Geocaching symbol on it. Can sonmeone suggest where to get this made, preferrably in Canada? Thanks!
  5. I'm looking for a ring (finger ring) that has the Geocaching symbol on it. Anyone know where I could get one made?
  6. Just wanted to pass along my congratulations to Kyocera for reaching his 100th found cache this morning! He has been Geocaching for only 5 months and is one dedicated cacher! Now, in case not all of you know, Kyocera said some time ago that when he reached the 100 mark, he would get a Geocaching tattoo! Lets see how serious he was about this!!!!
  7. How many countries are there in the world?
  8. I bought my Forerunner in Jan 04. I use it a few times each week and recently notice that even on full charge, the display never says more than 11 hours of battery life available. Anyone else notice this? How long does your battery last?
  9. I have MG4 for Canada and did have a problem looking for addresses, however it was my own stupidity. When I selected the city, there were several listed with different spellings. I always chose the top one and did not notice that the city name was misspelled. It had 4 or 5 different spellings for the same place, no idea why. When I chose the right spelling, it worked fine each time.
  10. I'm looking for some suggestions on what to carry spare batteries in when I'm out Geocaching. I've heard that loose batteries can explode if they touch some metal. Anyone have a cheap solution for this?
  11. Can someone suggest a company in Canada that makes coins?
  12. Has ANYONE thought of checking the gingling pin on the overhead hectonators? Also, it may affect the poo-poo valves and the laughing pins. I'm going to let the dog out. Let me know when someone gets the right answer. So far I totally agree with 42.....
  13. I have several tracks on my Forerunner. I am able to use the Furerunner Logbook software to view the tracks and such, but I am trying to open the tracks in Mapsource to have the tracks overlayed onto the maps. When I try to do this, Mapsource says that there are no tracks on the Forerunner. Is there a way to open those tracks in Mapsource?
  14. Funny, I much prefer the one color option. I find the multi color looks too cartoonish...
  15. I had actually thought of that. I have absolutely no intentions of doing anything malicious here, but don't most computers have virus scanners anyway?
  16. I have actually started to create the shell using HTML. My biggest problem is making the short animation I want when you insert the cd in the drive. Anyone help me with that?
  17. I actually found them online for 35 cents each, but want to try this idea before buying a ton of them.
  18. This is the typs of cd-r's I bought. They are very small, but work in all cd's. http://www.cdroutlet.com/business-card-cdr.htm
  19. The cost is about $1 per cd, but I have a feeling that I can find them cheaper if I shop around. I bught this particular set cause the labels came with it as well. I was thinking abuot putting pics on it as well. Lots of scenics, some short videos etc.
  20. Those are exactly what I bought. 2 sides cut off and the same size as a business card. They look pretty cool. I have already started to compile a list of items I want to include on this cd. I would love to have it start with a short animation of Insp Gadget with a GPS lokoing for a cache, but I couldn't do that with a gun to my head. I do want to include, pics, newspaper articles and radio interviews concerning Geocaching, the history etc.
  21. I believe your right Team K9. I was thinking he was talking of a Mini disk. I get these new fangled electronics confused al the time. This is what I thought he had. http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP....ZNF520D&Dept=pa Whew! You had me worried that I needed a special machine to write to these puppies! I found out that they will work in any machine. http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku....&affixedcode=WW This is not the exact product I bought but is very similar.
  22. I'm thinking along the lines of putting the cd in your drive and there would be a multimedia presentation at the beginning with music and a small animation of someone looking for a cache. At the end there would be a menu to select mroe info etc.
  23. I was looking around Staples today and saw the mini cd-r's. I picked up a package and am going to TRY and make a multimedia calling card. This mini cd can hold 50MB of info, so it should be plenty of room. I am loking for ideas from all yuo wonderful Geocachers out there on content to put on this cd and also for ideas on how to create this baby. I am quite familiar with computers, but terrible with multimedia and wouldnm't have the foggiest idea where to start. Any comments or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated! thanks!
  24. Well I've had my Vasque boots for about 2 weeks now and have a problem. My feet hurt when I walk in them. The pain is in the arch area. I can't walk more than a KM in my boots. I thought at first it was because they were not broken in, but after wearing them every day for 2 weeks, they should be broken in, or at least comfortable at the very least. Any suggestions?
  25. No idea what you guys are talking about. I have had my 60C for a month or so and have never had a problem and I have used rechargeables the whole time.
