I read about one cache in my area where all the SWAG was different types of spoons from around the world, like, those decorative spoons and stuff

The one hundred year anniversary for my parish (county for some) is coming up in a month or two. I was thinking that i would like to do an event cache there to both raise attendance and meet geocachers in the area. what are the requirements for an event cache?

How much was it used and whats the price?

good point, i don't think about the negative implcations to things like this. however, what is something that i can do for swag? if not digital?

I recently had an idea. I could take cheap jump drives, load them with stuff and label them by subject, i.e. cooking, jokes, history: Greek.
Basically what I'm saying is, load up a bunch of enjoyable stuff on jump drives and boom! awesome SWAG items!

oh, i wouldn't bring them to real caches, i would have a few temporary unregistered caches around the fairgrounds we use for all our big events.

now, i restarted this topic because i found the canceled one and i was very interested in where it was going. please, any thing about it, post it here, but stay on topic! no thread jacking, try to avoid theological discussion or opinions, and please keep from getting side tracked. thank you, enjoy.

oh, this question was purely hypothetical. I don't know any geocachers who have died.

The topic disgusing the idea of hiding geocaches in cemeteries are closed, so i have some questions. Would it be disrespectful to leave a track-able or cache on top of a grave if it is the grave of a geocaching friend? or close family?

If you place a really cool cache near where you live, when you pass by, you might see people trying to find it. introduce your self to them. when they see how cool your cache is, they will think youur kool. great way to meet people, i have that way.

I'm relatively new to geocaching and so far, I've had more fun creating caches than finding them (though i have fun with that, too).
Do any of y'all have any really creative and original ideas for hiding cache containers and camouflaging containers?

Does any one have any ideas how to incorporate Geocaching into 4-H with in a local group? My idea is at a field day where the kids will be excited and it would just be a day thing. any ideas about how to do the lesson and then the actual caching??

Try putting a message in a cache telling you to email you through geocaching so that you can get to know them a little, then ask to meet them, that way you know they are geocachers. then go find caches in places with high reported traffic before going after the more secluded ones
