Are you for real Dano?! I've got some that are years old and they look fine... how long does it take for the chemical process to start? It may start right away, but is very very slow. In perhaps 10 years coins with exposed metal on PVC could be wrecked. I have received older coins in trade that were still in the original PVC flips. What I notice when I pull them out is that they are slightly stuck in there. Also, look at the pouch after the coin is removed: if you can see where the coin was (like a smudgy circle) that's the process in action. Finally, I've noticed a film over shiny metal areas of the coin. Again, this is the chemical reaction in progress. Since it is not too far along, I can remove the film with a soft cloth. All my coins go into Saflips, which have no PVC and are inert. There's also another brand called Saf-T-Flips. Every thing else has PVC. Thank You for the tip....just ordered some.

I would like to agree with socal about mustang joni....reading through different topics here in the forums, I have yet to read something mean from her. way to go : )

Can't say I understand the no smoking geocoin either, but I did get a couple of the Yeti Brätle Geocoins and they are nicely done. It is a heavy coin done in nickel plating, and the 3-D of the footprints, the snow beast, and the snowflakes makes for a nice coin. Just thought I would add my 2 cents worth

once you trade or buy a coin it is yours, you can do as you please. although promises should be kept if possible on the personals. someone did have the set of four "regular" compass roses on starting at $99 and they didn't get any bids. I would think breaking them up would work better....who knows, with the added two-tone you have you might get a decent bid goodluck and happy yardworking
