  1. The pocketpups.net Dazzle coins are in! Your pre-orders will be filled and shipped within the next few days! Thanks to everyone who ordered. If you still haven't gotten yours, I have Nickel left... DAZZLE ORDER PAGE
  2. This is an elaborate coin. SO yes that is why I am asking first. Someone asked how I came up with the number. Well I wouldn't be here asking if the price of getting them made wasn't the largest quote I had ever seen before. Someone saw my post and they are another coin maker. They gave me a much better price so I will be crunching the number again. I think I can get it down a few dollars now because of their help. I am going to mint 150 to 200. I don't think i will have such a hard time selling them now. I'm curious how the price was reached. I've design quite a few coins and more than a few had some expensive features without costing that much. I think people will pay if they believe they're getting their money's worth. A good example would be the Delft Blue porcelain coin. I would have paid twice as much as they were asking after seeing what they went through to get them made and how beautifully they turned out. So what's special about this one? If it's "worth it" they'll bite
  3. yes shipping included. Good Idea not to make many of them. If I sell out I can always order more I guess and keep the mold. I will do like half a usual order. Well I think it depends on how many you want to sell. Regardless of the price there is always someone that is willing to pay it. If you are going to make just a few coins then a higher price might be OK, don't plan on selling hundress of coins at this price. I am guessing that this price does not include shipping?
  4. I am working on a coin design. It is pretty elaborate and expensive to produce. It is 2", 4 mm, and it will have a component that moves. What I would have to price it under around $14.50 ish... So I am wondering how much is too much. I am thinking of squashing the idea. What do you think?
  5. copper & gold are sold out now. i have nickel still available.
  6. I think it is cool to have some safety reminders in our caches... Sometimes we take this hobby/sport for granted and get to comfortable we won't get hurt. Your coin spreads a great message. I heard on a podcast that a family was attacked by killer bees while geocaching. Although the family got out alright. the family pet's leash wrapped around the bicycle and the dog did not make it.
  7. I was wondering if an activation code retrieval system could be a geocaching.com interface tool since all of the data is currently integrated with the site. If the codes themselves could not be revealed by geocaching, could the name and contact for the coin distributor be revealed?
  8. pocketpups.net Liberty Geocoin http://www.urbancacher.com or send email to pocketpupsnet using geocaching.com
  9. Are these the same quailty as the UK's Tolley coins used to make Pathtags? Are they approved? Would they be allowed and tracked by the geocoin interface or dog tag interface?
  10. Oh ok! I believe it just means that you've already read all the posts in that thread
  11. If you were to look at the on the side of my forum thread in the main geocoin discussions forum list of topics, my suitcase icon on the left is greyed out. What does that mean?
  12. My very first cache I found myself I took an America Coin from Tomb Raided in NC and brought it to Michigan and turned it loose. It was a really good feeling to find coins and keep them for a short time before turning them loose again. I started to collect but decided I would stop because I didn't know what I wanted to collect and what for. I purchased about 10. Went to one coin swap and then Gave most of them away as gifts. I found that by the time christmas came around I was getting geocoins from family and friends. Those are the coins I like best. Soon after I minted my first coin and I sell some and I am going to go to a swap event here soon to trade some I kept for that event. Out of all the coins I see designed. My favorite are the ones that are very very personal. Cacher teams with their waypoint and geocaching start date are always cool and their clever cacher names. I also like memorial coins like bikedog's coin. Some generic coins are ok, but I like seeing other people's creativity.
  13. I make my sig coin like everyone else. I am unable to edit my original post which has been locked down. If you do flag me let me know what I can do to have a link like everyone else. Let me know.

  18. Just wanted to report that the Nickel Finish is sold out BUT I still have some Copper left if you want to pick one up. http://www.thegeocachingshop.blogspot.com Thanks!
  19. I will let everyone who is a current first coin customer know yes. I am glad you like your coin! I am enjoying this process very much. I feel the next design should be done in two weeks. Note: I did get an inquiry today that someone did not get their coin and the delivery tracking number did not show anything yet. I just wanted to let everyone who ordered know that USPS says they do not usually scan the package until they actually deliver it. They do not share the same processes as fedex or ups. Post office claims tha 2-5 days is the norm, but it isn't unusual to have to wait 10 days. It took me 3 days (over a weekend) to carefully record and ship all the pre-ordered coins and 6 days to get time to personally go to the post office to do all the customs forms for the international pieces. After that, new orders have been shipping same day or within 24 hours after they place them. Maybe those who ordered the first ones could be notified when the second and third ones come available first!! By the way, it's a very nice coin. Got mine yesterday in the mail!! Many Thanks!
  20. awwww.. thanks! I am planning another coin so you can get another design really soon. I guess I will have to throw it up on the board when I finalize the design.
  21. Thanks again to all who order... I hope you like them. I sure do. I would like to note the following for all who PRE-ORDERED: Coin shipment arrived on February 9th, Friday. Spent Sat/Sunday packing envelopes and shipped Monday February 12th with the exception of a few international and military folks who have shipped today due to extra paperwork. Activation codes are on your packing slips. More coins are still available if you would like some: http://www.thegeocachingshop.blogspot.com
  22. Coins are in and I am preparing all the shipments this weekend. Thanks everyone! I think the coins came out great. I am very pleased. If you want one there are some left, you can head over to my blog and pick one up. http://www.thegeocachingshop.blogspot.com
  23. WOW, some of the photo of the xyz collection of binders is huge. I have one of those pieces of wood routed out to hold coins you buy on coinsandpins. I wanted the chancellor but my gift-tor gave me the one lessor not knowing I had 30 or more pocket watch trinkets to display with my few geocoins. I am going to have to fix that!
  24. What do you think the ability to RSS Feed your cache and cache logs to your own blog if your cache is not a priority only listing. It would be nice to personalize your cache profile like a blog page, but if that is not possible we could rss to our blogs?
