  1. Exactly! I could (not) care less about the color. My #1 hope is that it takes care of the performance issues that we've all struggled with for years. If it does, then I am content. I like the colored quotations. Hmmm.... I wonder what the quote limit is now... teeheehee!! Gee, Knowschad... that is a Very Good Question!I bet ten.At 6 so far.7 maybe? This makes eight. Just trying to help...
  2. Quotes updated (for example)Since you are working on the quotes, please only quote one level deep. A quoted, quote of a quote gets a little tedious when it is quoted again in another quote.......... It had to be done at some point...I am surprised it went this long without be quoted again...
  3. Use... I Have Not Found AND I Do Not Own ...when creating your PQ.
  4. I know what you are saying Blue...I hit reply all the time to see if I can actually reply directly or need to visit their profile... But, those that include their email address...when I hit reply, they will get my reply usually right away...for those that don't, i usaully put off replying...which gets further put off as things come up...
  5. *sigh... Do we really need a guideline for everything??? (PS...this is not meant to be directed at the OP...it is just a general observation of the trend as of late in the forums to call for a "ruleing" for the forums becuase someone was upset about a cache...and not always a cache of their own...but about someone else's cache) Someone selling common sense could make a fortune in today's society...if only common sense could be sold... (again...not meant to be directed at the OP...just a general observation...)
  6. No matter how much they eggs you on? He is such a hardcore cacher...he wouldn't even waffle...
  7. Sorry...I agree with the reviewer... I don't read it as being denied because it will cause a "FTF Frenzy"...I see it being denied becuase there is no need for a new listing if only a "little change" is introduced...
  8. Just becuase it has been done, does not mean it was the correct thing to do... PS...they are called Reviewers...not Approvers...
  9. lol Maybe it is time to know someone other than Chad!!! (He just isn't getting the job done anymore...)
  10. Take it up with Groundspeak if you have issues...best not to bring it to the forums (we actually have no say in the matter...regardless of the reports you have heard ) appeals@Groundspeak.com
  11. Well said. Unless getting at the log involves some sort of puzzle, there really is no reason to delete found it logs on legit finds because the log wasn't signed. I recall a cacher who found one of my caches and the ammo box was frozen shut. He logged a DNF. I told him to log a find, because he found the cache. The way I see it, this is geoCACHING, not geoLOGGING. The point of the sport is to find caches. The log is only there as proof you made the find. If someone can provide another form of proof, that should be good enough. As a cache owner, someone's word is proof enough for me (unless there is enough evidence that his word is no good). The caveat being that the 4 star terrain cache up in a tree that you see but can't reach is an exception to your rule. I contend, that unless it's a puzzle, you should at least have the cache container in your hands. What if it's a 4+ terrain cache that's 30 feet up in a tree and the cacher's find log says, "I saw it but didn't want to climb the tree. What if the cacher's find log says "I could see the cache, but I was on the wrong side of the creek." Sorry...just thought it was funny that it was stated twice...in relative short order...
  12. Hey dragoon of cheesy lineage, he didn't say the hat was in the cache. lol I was rollin' with the Hat in the Cache theme going down in the thread... (by the way...yes, I know..."Hat in the Cache"...bad pun...)
  13. Work has gotten in the way of caching...I miss going on caching weekends...
  14. For what it is worth...my opinion... Toz and Knowschad both make good points...sort of an argument that really cannot be "won" by either side. Yep...once the log is signed...the find is yours...but, it also can be taken as if you don't want to sign the log and still get credit for the find...go ahead and post a picture of you in hat found in the cache... It isn't an additional logging requirement...it would be an alternative logging requirement... Sign the Log...or...Wear the Hat...your choice... Groundspeak set a "default" of signing the log...but you could offer an alternative to signing the log... ...again...only my opinion...it is not meant to be taken as fact... *Dragoon never claimed to be human...he just plays one in real life...and, furthermore, these are just the ramblings of an Analytical mind trained in the Dark Arts!!!
  15. I don't know what's worse - that some people insist on having everything spelled out for them, or that some others, after it has been spelled out for them, says "well, (insert favorite vulgarity here), I'm still going to do it my way". From now on, I'm signing my logs with a strand of my hair stuck with tape. Split, of course. There is always someone in the crowd...too bad you beat me to that comment!!!
  16. Honestly, yes. That is my point. They should go there if this is what it is supposed to be. I could understand the logic behind when they decided new virtuals become Waymarking if: A) The grandfathered ones have to go too (grandfathering made sense at the beginning but it's 5 years now and it's time to be consistent). ' Earthcaches stayed in Waymarking. I'd like someone to give me a good reason why they were moved back, and don't simply say "the educational organization who backs these wanted that", I want to know WHY? And why Jeremy moved them back when they are essentially "virtuals". C) Given that the argument is that geocaching should only involve a physical container to be found, why do you get a 'smiley' for going to an event? Again, I'd like to know the reason for this "inconsistency" (and as for the comment about my saying this "not helping my cause", this "hypocrisy" is proof that they will never change it so I may as well express my feelings on it. Also, regarding the person who knocked the person who defended Waymarking for being "off topic", I completely disagree, as someone else noted I am talking about this in regards to Waymarking and as such it's the right of anyone who wants to say they like Waymarking, it's great, etc. to express their thoughts, feelings, opinions, etc. as I have mine. The grandfathered ones are going...slowly, but they are going... Earthcaches...yeah, agree with you there, once gone, they should have stayed gone... My events have a physical log and cache ...not saying...just saying...
  17. I read the thread...and only have one thing to ask... . . . Serisouly??? (for the sake of all that is froggy...)
  18. No he didn't. He thought he was buying a Venture. He DID make a mistake there as you were very clear in what you were selling. When he figured out what he was actually buying he simply told you what he thought it was worth and asked if there was anything the two of you could do to fix the problem. That's not running down your gps. You responding by ranting away and you have continued to rant. I wouldn't refuse to do business with you based on nogoodkris' mistake. I would refuse to do business with you because if someone makes a mistake, you go off like a mad man. Just ask the mods to close the thread. That's the best you're going to get. +1
  19. They have seen your "report"...take a look at your other thread in Web Site Forum...all three reports...
  20. Just ask a mod to close the tread (as Keystone has suggested)...it will die and fall off the bottom of the page...
  21. Gotta agree with Keystone on this one...the laundry has been aired...so to speak...it would be best to just have a forum moderator close it for you and let it fall off and die as new threads get posted.
  22. The thing is...GSAK will do everything the OP has been asking for...the time just needs to be taken to setup GSAK correctly...GSAK can be a very powerful tool...
