  1. That is just splitting hairs... I have replaced plenty of log books in my journey...wet, missing, full...etc...it is just the right thing to do if you are able to do it...
  2. Sounds like a find to me...heck, even that could be your log!!! If it were my cache, I would say just go ahead and log your find...no need to find the cache a second time.
  3. I love assumptions...they always lead to more assumptions!!! Put me in the "Does this really matter???" group... . . . If I could care less...I would...but, I find myself not caring at all what value Groundspeak is sitting at.
  4. If you still unsure about the cache...especially with the "recent" updates...send an email to your reviewer and ask them to take a second look...maybe include what you have seen. As has been pointed out by two reviewers so far...things change from first read to most recent...maybe the local reviewer needs to take a second look on this one now that the page has changed and more info is available.
  5. Well...there is the problem...does one really want little girls and demented old men at the same cache?!?!?! -Disclaimer...that was just a joke...nothing more...
  6. Well...when you use the forum to complain, expect comments from all sides. Face it, you are trying to publish a complicated cache...you knew it would be complicated because you went to appeals first. I would say expect the cache to be gone through with a fine and precise look. As other have said...and even you yourself, more patience. Several reviewers are all saying be patient...grab your gps...do some caching and check back later.
  7. Usually #1...I like the social aspect of this option...I have participated in option #3 a couple times...and to me it just becomes a big competition and no longer fun... . . . I agree with Briansnat...once the group becomes a bit larger (about 10+), #3 becomes a bit impractical...or people start watching each other just so they are not the last to find...
  8. +1 ...and may I add...being taken up by aliens that do not have geocaching on their planet...
  9. I would ignore it...becuase I would bet other in the local caching community know of/about the "relationship" between the parties and just chalk it up to that... So, ignore it and move on with your life...
  10. There is actually no rule that says you must sign the log book in order to log a find online. (The puritans knew I would say this). There are rules that allow cache owners to delete logs that appear to be bogus, counterfeit, off-topic, or not within stated requirements. Should a cache owner decide to delete your log, do not expect Groundspeak to reinstate it if you didn't sign the log. There may even be cases where you did sign the log where Groundspeak will not reinstate your find, but at least if you have signed you may have some luck. lol...even us non-puritans (ok...I will only speak for myself) feel that signing the log in the cache is an important step... If I am out walking to locations and doing nothing else...I might as well just be out hiking...
  11. When: Saturday, April 23rd http://coord.info/GC2Q8NE
  12. lol...well, I guess next time I should read the thread before I post...lol Makes sense...never mind my previous post...
  13. lol Sort or like "Available In Winter" and "Winter Friendly" being used for the same attribute... Back on topic...no...a Cache Series does not always make for a Power Trail.
  14. Am I missing something??? Obviously the OP had a point for this thread...but I seem to be missing it...
  15. I learned the hard way...send the cacher a message before you delete...give them a chance to "correct" it before you delete it.
  16. I would love to do both series...just because I would love to both series... As for methods...nope...wouldn't use either...
  17. I think the bigger problem is people now turning the cache page into a forum thread...
  18. ...either way...you are comparing apples and bananas... To be on-topic...I would agree with the Reviewer.
  19. . . . Okay, how'd I do? Darn that was 4! lol...fail!!! Hint: if you speak in incomplete statements, it don't count as a sentence!!!
  20. Stuff was done...things were said...both sides disagree...member banned...caches archived...
  21. I am still waiting for my North Dakota award!!! I have California...and that is just one moving cache...hilarious!!!
