My mother collected money coins in the past. From her I know the biggest risks for a coin are idd fingers and I also read about the PVC. I think I am going to clean them also with a special cloth. That should already do much. It is not that I can smell the PVC, it is just they game into that flip when I ordered them. And also my first 3 coins I showed to a lot of people. Thanks for all the idea's on this topic.

But with what do you clean them before putting them in there?

Hi everyone, At the moment I have a few geocoins I bought myself, 7 at the moment. Now I was wondering. I do NOT want these geocoins to travel around, but I do would like to collect them. And I hope to buy more in the future. I have read that the flips the coins come in, they are from PVC. And PVC affect the coins. I am planning to put my coins in this way: (I don't know the English name of these.) (+ Sorry for the big image.) Now I have read a lot about different storage methods and such on this forum, and that has been a big help. But I do have one question still: Those 7 coins I have now, do I need to treat them against PVC damage already? Even know you don't see anything of it yet. Or can I can just put them in those things as seen in the image? I hope anyone can help me with these questions, as I want to keep my coins nice and tidy.

PM sended. I would also like to comment on nevadanick post. I can understand what you say about the japanese flag thing, but how about this: A lot of Geocoins are made with the USA flag on it. How about all those countries the USA attacked? Wouldn't all those people feel offensive? So in that case, you can't make anymore coins anymore with the USA flag on it?

You know the point I made in post #18, well.... somebody challanged me to find as many Geocaches in August. And I accepted the challange. xD I must say I like the challange, but I still like the country souveniers more.

I like Puzzle caches, and caches that are 'small' or bigger. Where you can put stuff in to trade. And to make it even better, onces that are in a nature area. (I have nothing with cities.)

I must admit I like the country souveniers. But I am not going to try to get souveniers for August. If I get one, fine. But I am not going out for them, I cache when I like. I do however plan to find a Geocache on Gecaching day. On the 17th. I just like the souveniers for countries, and since most European countries have no souveniers for them at all. I would rather have those added to geocaching.com then a souvenier for every random day in August.

Thank you for the detailed answer. I will fill in the webpage tommorow and see how it works out. In my area there aren't many geocaches. So I will be fine with the proximity. We do have a lot of Traditional Micro's though, so that is why I am making this a Mystery. Thank you for the help.

I have been trying to get a page where I can fill in the cache information. And I found this page: http://www.geocaching.com/hide/cachebasics.aspx But I am a bit confused if this one is the one for asking for a page where I can put the information on? (Not that I ask it to get it published...)

Thank you for the help. That made things clear for me. I already have made all details of the Mystery in a Word file on my computer. But now I know I can make the perfect page my Geocache. Wil the reviewer also try to find the cache him/her self? Ofcourse I will first hide it before "asking it to be published".

Hello everyone, I have been looking through the forums to see if somebody else already asked this question, but I couldn't find it. So I place it here, hoping maybe somebody can help me. I would like to place a Mystery cache. But I never placed a cache before, and I was wondering a few things: - If I would submit the cache to geocaching.com, do I then get a page where like I can add text and images before it is being published? - How long does the process take of getting your own page for a cache? I also hope they release a souvenier for every country. I am a European, and I cached in a few different countries now. That does make me wonder: "Why does have Germany for every province a souvenier, and for example Croatia, Bosnia or Slovenia have none?" Kinda unfair that Germans get so many and other countries get none. I don't mind a souvenier for every province (or state) but then divide it equaly. I can understand that the USA/Canada have a souvenier for every state/province because it is a almost a continent. But Germany isn't that big! Come on! Give the rest of Europe also something. I am for that every country in the world should get at least 1 souvenier. Would be nice.
