  1. I nominate picAtune. why? he has no geocoins, poor neglected child, and therefore is blissfully ignorant of our addiction, er, affliction. Maybe, just maybe, if he is so blessed to become the proud possessor of RK#1 he'll begin to understand...
  2. I tend to agree that the 2 tracking#s will add unnecessary expense and increases the potential for tracking coinfusion. (just note all the new threads constantly popping up about tracking problems with coins with just one #.) I'd prefer the coin to be less expensive, have a single code and as OshnDoc suggests: a dual-design icon. I really like the concept of dual themes, kinda like TNT's recent dragon/dragonfly. Lessee... one side: Pirate roasting a really large drumstick on his sword... tailSide: Dragon picking his teeth with the Pirate's sword...
  3. wow, this coin turned out beautifully! Wish I was home when it became available (was in the air returning from China)... hope for a re-mint.
  4. I've not found them yet there... I keep going back checking as I've not been getting any emails from C&P about listing of new coins. The one I am holding is on its way to China & is one of JRay8's own activated coins that I volunteered to take back to its "birthplace" . Trust me this coin is sooo good looking if there is ANY notice given of its arrival at C&P, their server will be guaranteed to be crashed... that or the coins will sell out in a heartbeat. (unless a thousand are on order) I'd keep checking... I thought they were going to be there soon.
  5. we likes it! wish we had our coin done and could score a copper in trade.
  6. OOOHHHH LAAAAH LAAAAH These beauties are one of the most incredible coins I have seen. As usual, the photos don't begin to do them justice. Taking one to China in the morning to begin its travels of the 7 seas...
  7. oh man! now someone else is gonna find it before friday! I can't get there before Friday...I just got my ticket for Friday confirmed... orlando to DC (quick jaunt to PA to grab this cache/coin) then 7000 mile flight to Beijing... now if someone wanted a certain coin to see a certain observatory in Beijing, and they could get the coin to me before Friday...
  8. nifty! I'd preorder a set... way preferable to being stuck in a crashed server and missing out on a FSM or Toitle
  9. OHHHHH Mannnnn... am I ever gonna try to snipe this one...
  10. order placed ... THANK YOU from all of us who helped crash their server and came up empty in the end. You've brightened my week! I've gotta get my own coin so I'll have something to trade with all you guys with better connections!
  11. absolutely FANtabulous! Another must-have from TSD.
  12. sorry... dup post.... apparently "stop" doesn't "stop" sending the post when the wheels just keep turning and the activity bar says "waiting on geo..."
  13. sweet sweet coin. definitely on my list!
  14. No copper left... sad sad day... and it is our anniversary... any way those of us on forum who cannot get to MWGB can order a copper??? Please????
  15. I'm not sure why I can't edit my post above... I feel I owe TampaBayGeocachers an apology for not PMing them before posting a note that could so easily be misinterpreted in quite a negative way. I think the questions are legit, I just should have asked them in a gentler way. So, I am sorry. I've received information from them that they are a legit group of cachers with a bunch of finds and hides who love this game as much as any of us. I'm in for this coin and am anxious to plan a vacation in their neck of the woods to see if their geoSkeeters are as vicious as those here in northCentral Florida. Sorry again for the nasty post... it really wasn't meant to be so. Lesson learned here. Thanks for your understanding.
  16. just curious who Tampa Bay Geocachers is... profile shows no finds, no hides, no nothing other than an ad for the geocoin... does not look like a personal geocoin... is this a group of cachers? I didn't know Groundspeak allowed membership for advertising/commercial reasons. I think I kinda like the coin, but "the market" can be brutal and you may be stuck with a lot of unsold coins. Any more, you've gotta have an outstanding coin to sell more than a hundred... especially with a coin so specialized in geographic area represented... before I preorder, I need to know a lot more about who I'm buying from...
  17. RALEIGH: N.C. State Fairgrounds. Fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
  18. you're gonna watch the same ones we are: A Capitol 4th... over the National Mall.
  19. I made a cache, didn't have it published, and made it inactive (so it wouldn't show up on reviewers' proximity checks - as you have to list coords). It is still easy to access and drop in my coins... it also confirms that the icon is working. This also lets you use your TB # as a TB. First one is free, second costs a couple bucks for the TB#. Advantage for the TB# is that others can view it. ...6= 1/2 doz. in my mind. Do whichever floats your boat and is easier for you.
  20. WowWowWow. unbelievably high on the cool scale. Any chance you'll "presale" any of these? If so, put me in for one of each finish! I love the antique look. Are you going to do these in antique copper? ok derschlings stop panting... just go ahead and beg for antique copper, antique gold, antique silver, antique palladium, antique geolinidium...wimper....
  21. Quite elegant. Are you making a list for presales? if so, please add me.
  22. how can anyone forget about this coin??? it's simply tooo cool. good things come to those who wait... I just wish there could be a presale at geoswag for all your fans here...
  23. Our first cache ever was in Colorado, so this one is a must. Every time we turned over a rock looking for the cache one of the kids (or dad) would holler out "hey! I think that's a fossil... COOL!!". Love it! and thanks for the preorder discount... very considerate.
