Congrats to Weldor and ~tasia~
It was a close one for number of geocachers!!!
Congrats!!!!
-
Wow that weldor guy is in 1st AND 3rd!!!
-
Ok I got it now.
The first letter was a S not an 8 and not a B.
I guess that makes sense since it is a signal coin.
-
I have the following coin and every time I try to log it or look for it I get an error on the gc.com page.
http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.as...55-d8e11b5695ae
I have tried multiple combinations for the tracking code (thinking I may not have read it correctly, ie is that an 8 or a B?) via the trackable items menu link or the actual log page for the coin to no avail.
What do you do in an instance like this?
-
Um,yah. It is weird. Especially since it says these are the 2007's. All the info I read about them said there were 50 minted. Are the 2008 coins different or a remint with a different year on it. I'm coinfused.
There are several versions of this coin.
Here are the details
The 2007 MnGCA Geocoin
4 color imitation hard enamel front
2 color imitation hard enamel back with custom printing
1.75” Diameter
4 mm thick (nice thick coin!!)
Trackable on Geocaching.com with custom icon and name
Metal Types
5 Extremely Limited Edition Copper Coins
-------------------------------
These 5 coins will only be available on future MnGCA created E-Bay auctions.
Have not been sold yet
50 Limited Edition Gold Sets
-------------------------------
First Minting
50 Sets (1 Antique Gold Coin and 1 Shiny Gold Coin)
SOLD OUT
These coins will not be re-minted.
Regular Edition Coins
-------------------------------
First Minting
-------------
50 Antique Silver Coins - SOLD OUT
50 Shiny Silver Coins - SOLD OUT
Second Minting
100 Antique Silver Coins
100 Shiny Silver Coins
two-tone member coins
---------------------------
First Minting - 45 coins - SOLD OUT
Second Minting - 25 coins - Limited number available for MnGCA members as of a certain date.
I should have added that the 2007 coins will not be reminted after these last ones are sold out.
When these are gone that is it for the 2007 coin.
Of course we may have a 2008 version in a few months.

Thanks for that. Brilliant idea. Going by the photo it looks like it worked really well... and we all know how much better again the coins look in person over a photo!
Yes these are beautiful coins.
Both in look and feel.
You won't be disappointed.

Basically we used a sticker on the back and covered it with epoxy.
The northern lights are actually printed right on the top of black hard enamel.
The outlines of the trees are actually metal.
This made a great effect that I haven't seen on any other coins.
It was a tall order for Rusty to fill but he did it!!!

Is that the correct photo? They say 2007 on the front (unless I need to get my eyes checked).
Neat coin!

mmmmm lutefisk
Sorry, I just can't imagine eating something that has been soaked in lye for a day...even if it has been rinsed out!
It only looks good there since you can't smell it.
-
I would like some clarification please
On the CCC coin it says
This trackable coin has been activated under the CCC’s account…a curse upon those that try to profit from this gift. Do not sell this coin. Can these coins be traded for other coins?
-
Ugh! I just looked up lutefisk...you can keep that please! My mom grew up in Mpls/St. Paul...she remembers her grandmother making lutefisk every year for Christmas.
I would try the lefse though.
mmmmm lutefisk
