that should have topo maps on but i accidentally deleted them i have been trying all day to get talkytoaster or some free map sent by garmin but i cant get onto gps or sd card it still comes up with a blank screen and there is nothing in maps help what am i doing wrong

bought second hand and no manual and can't seem to locate one online I had until reset a couple of boxes in the top of th escreen could have 2 or 4 and you could pick what you wante dit to display they told me which way and how many feet to cache/waypoint but I can't find it to reinstate it. Where is it in the system please. It was very helpful.

How do you add geochecker to puzzle pages I filled in the info copied and pasted the link and nothing is there a knack to how to do it.

I walked a potential new series a week or so back took waypoints and then thought hmm I like this pace better so have been busy setting new caches. Thing is the waypoints keep vanishing. I did not delete them they just went then the ones from the other day ate there all done cache pages etc, Been back set a few more took waypoints came home they vanished Totaly confused don't take much I know but I now have to go back put and get the waypoints. And in this heat it's no fun almost at the point of giving it up and waiting for winter lol So why is it doing that and why somedays not others its an etrex 10

odd thing is when i turned it on today the caches i had tried to download were there going to look at basecamp thankyou

i fell with a cache in my hand a terracotta one obliterated the poor thing and sliced my hand i continued on with electrical tape trying to stem the bleeding which is was not so after several caches I admitted defeat and returned home to tend my wounds. Glad i'm not the only one

cannot call method set status of undefined comes up when i try to download caches i have 1.3mb left have i run out of memory and how do i get rid off stuff on e trex to free up memory thanks

ok thankfully no bears in the uk so i think i can skip the bear bangers !!!! So thats how you find caches in the ivy so easily they always seem to elude me. note to self pack a torch thanks for the link very helpful been having a look through and was puzzled about the foam pipe until i read further up fantastic idea. HAving scrambled through barbed wire yestersay after the GPS had a dizzy spell and sent me the wrong way

Hi Thanks have followed your link again and i get this come up thre was an error on this page where (object object) error description invalid argument click ok to continue so click ok then it gets stuck with the little arrow rolling around and around. I cant click + or - it won't let me I am on IE so will try it on sons laptop on chrome and see what happens then. When they forst updated it it did work albeit slowly. but now not for me.

Relatively new to this and I was wondering what do you have in your caching kit I have tweezers and gloves now for stingers but what other helpful gadgets would you recommend to help with cache retrieval .Aside from arms like inspector gadget that can reach into odd places and holes I would rather not blindly put my whole arm in ! !

I get magic map to open as per the link and the new site comes up then crashes freezes up and won't display

Is it just and my pc but I am struggling with the new improved magic map very slow to load find and crashes and freezes pc

So you can get coins for milestones achieved 100 250 etc and the websites say you can get your local cobbler to engrave them great. But today I asked how much it would cost to engrave RIP George and the date for my daughters guinea pig onto a brass plaque and they wanted to charge me in excess of 12 quid. So i asked what about putting a date on an award coin and they said £8 minimum Now maybe I am being ripped off here but if you get your coins engraved where do people go and what does it cost you surely not nearly a tenner . If I ever get to a milestone I dont think I will be engraving them at this rate.

sorry didn't mean to shout caps lock was on I am trying to work out PQ's and was looking at the GPS trying to work out what was what. It's all a bit to techy for me. It is asking me for a program and I thought maybe it didn't load or something when you plug the GPS in. will look at the garmin link thanks

Ahhhhhhh thats why i dint get them then just worked out i had set up a notification for an unknown cache the ones that were listed recently were traditional hence why i didnt get the notifications so i need to set up each type seperately then, hadnt twigged that when i set up the notifications thanks for making it clearer Thankyou for your help

I did set this up and a whole bunch of 39 plus another series and some others have been published only knew that they were new because i saw when i was seeking a cache and a little blue NEW was in the listings.

I see from logs people get notified when new caches are published. There was a great series yesterday not far from me but I happened across rather than got notified. How do you get notifications

PLEASE. IF I OPEN IT I CAN ACCESS THE FILE AND SEE ALL THE CACHES ETC LISTED BUT WHEN IT TRY TO OPEN THEM MY PC SAYS IT CAN'T THE PROGRAM DOES NOT EXIST ASKS ME TO LOOK' FOR ONE USING THE WEB AND CANT I SHOULD BE ABLE TO LOOK AT THE FILES LIKE IT WAS A CAMERA OR SIMILAR

having looked at the manual dont think thats what i wanted. just completed 5 puzzle caches and how the co ords i want to add them so when it downloads to gps they are there current;t got them on paper. not done a pq going to try that one now
