I went to my first one the other weekend, its just like any other event, as I couldnt stay it suited really well and I didnt feel rude, but I did meet people and they had a nice set up in a park with many people sitting around having coffee and talking, so I think its more of what you make of it.

I have only ever come across a large cache which held books, and that was really neat, but most that we find around here are rather small

I have got one cache that keeps getting damaged even though I am clear they dont need to remove the cache only use a phillips to unscrew - do you have a cache or caches that get damaged often to cachers that dont take care?

Yesterday, I found a cache at a petting zoo. It was in an old, slightly rusted Altoids-like can. When I opened it, tiny jumping spiders popped out and began jumping all over the place. No joke - real live spiders.
BUGGER that, that is the only thing I hate about caching is the spiders, lucky I try to carry gloves

this would have to be my hardest cache, got up at 4.45am so we could be at the car park at 6.30, all went well and we started our hike (we are not trampers at all) it took us 5.5 hours to do the first leg with many stops and rest's. once we got to the hut we quickly found the cache and was heart fallen when we saw another name but as it turned out the person who had found the cache wasn't a cacher and just put a note in that he dried it out and put it back, it took 4.5 hours due to 85% being down hill. we are now all very sore and can hardly move and are dreading what its going to feel like tomorrow, loved being out doing/trying something we wouldn't normally do

the one I attended, you had to get out of the car and go up to sign the log hubby stayed in the car (he doesnt cache) and left the car running while I got out, I also wanted to meet other caches even if it was quick.
but I guess if you sat in your car and waved someone over with the log book I guess that would count, but there is no way I would do that.
