  1. I have a 60csx...which is close. Press MARK. Now use the up down arrow keys to move to the Lat / Long section. Press ENTER. Now use the up down arrows to move around the number pad. when done...click OK. Then move down to the OK and press enter. Now...that location should show up in your way points. (Find, select way point, Enter). If you need to edit more, just go back to that entry and use the up down arrows to move around.
  2. Please don't put any of that CRAPPY BUBBLE GOO or anything else that will melt, freeze or stink....in a cache.
  3. ***I remember my Vista once telling me I was in Texas when I was actually in NJ. It took a few minutes but it finally settled on the right location.*** Must have been a SMOG BANK that moved in from Bayonne or off those Refineries in Linden.
  4. ***Premium, Gold, and Titanium Members *** Where is info on the Gold and Titanium members?
  5. ****I once drove a '71 Vega GT. I loved that little piece of junk. Of course, that was many years before I developed my fear of small cars. Sigh**** I had to rebuild that Vega engine...smoked from the factory. Had steel sleeves put in the cylinders. But that Pinto...wow...it just blew up when hit from behind.
  6. Very slow tonight...My TB listings don't work. Madison, Wi.
  7. I broke one and replaced it.... See my entry on 12/26/2006 "Guru4Hire" http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...87-dc3ffed2e3b2
  8. Lookup user. Ok, Thats it. Thanks for the help. I have to click on "My Account" and then "Find Another Player".
  9. I must be overlooking something...or just nuts....but.... I have a GeoCachers Profile Name...Where can I click, search, etc...to find them and send an email?
  10. It has slowed down before the Xmas holidays. Sometimes It just seems like there is no response and I have to click on a cache 3 or 4 times before it will retrieve anything. Sometimes it is fast and sometimes it might take 20 seconds or so to get the data back. This forum is always fast...with no problems. Just the GeoCaching side. I'm in Madison, Wisconsin
  11. How does one know what the FTF prize is when it's in with a lot of other new-cache stuff? Put it on top in a baggie with a note? I put it in an envelope that is marked in a magic marker that says: "First To Find - Take This With You".
  12. When I get permission to place caches...I always give them coordinates and a picture of the cache. I keep copies for myself...just in case I get accused of something...I have all the paperwork for the cache.
  13. I probably would have gone over and let her point me out...and explain to the cop what was going on, so all her other calls would be flagged as "Ignore". This would save the police manpower for real capers.
  14. I've left un-registered TB's and depending on the cache...a $10 and $25 dollar gift certificate to a resturant. The $25 was for a multi-stage ...GCYR3T
  15. I have business cards made for GeoCaching. They say "Guru4Hire - Geocacher" and "Dallas, Texas".
  16. Just for the record...None of my caches are "Members Only"...they are for all.
  17. ***How can you force money from people to play something that is pretty much 'pay what you want to pay'?*** Just make every cache "Premium Members Only". That might also end some of the problems with Missing TB's, GeoCoins and rehiding caches properly.
  18. I think that everyone should pay...after all, you are using this site...and this costs money to run and be updated (equipment, electric, employees...etc.). Do you believe that others should foot the bill for you?
  19. For the last week or so, it seems to take longer to log your finds...and every now and then I get blown out. Here is the error: Server Error in '/' Application. ________________________________________ Server Too Busy Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. 20. PLEASE....Do Not Leave those little bottles with Bubble Blowing Goo in them.....
  21. Some discussions are many pages long....over time. How do you sort the posts for a discussion by the newest post first? That way I don't have to scroll thru them....I just want the latest one at the top.
  22. I don't care what they put in the logs, if they found the cache...they can write what they want. They can even post pictures...because the next Cacher still has to get to the cache to sign the log book...there is no easy way out for that. I just don't want them to put that Bottled Bubble GOO in the caches.
  23. Have you found bottles of Bubble Solution or Hand Cream in Caches? This might be good down South where it is warm...but up North where it freezes, these containers break and that crap gets all inside of the Cache. Just the other day I had to clean out one of my Caches from this stuff. If I come across them in other Caches, I usually remove them to prevent future Cache owner's problems. I'd rather people leave Nothing instead of a bottle of leaking Goo that makes a mess of everything else in the Cache. Have you run across other problems like this?
  24. What do you do when people take TB's and never move them on? I have a couple that were taken, logged out and never moved on...even though I see that these GeoCachers are still active and logging their finds. I've emailed them and even offered to come get them from them...but no response. It ain't the TB, money or whatever...just the principal of it.
