I'm up in Wisconsin...my home is Texas. I've paid the $10 out-of-state fees to Geocache in the parks.

If they ask what I'm doing....I've explained it to them...and sometimes had them sign the log book.

It is nice to know that this police department "responds to emergencies and accidents"....

I Picked an unused name and registered it with Network Solutions.

I use Dreamweaver MX to develop the web pages
The Website is Hosted by Lunar Pages (I used earthlink for years...but there are better choices and prices now)

Thanks....I see it.

Where did you find that "Subscibe" link? (http://www.geocaching.com/subscribe/)
I've renewed before...but I can't find that link anymore.

I usually do't take anything except for TB's and Geocoins...unless I have to remove something to make room for a TB or Geocoin.
-
Like to find: Tb's, Geocoins, coupons to massage parlors.
Don't like to find: Those dang bottles of BUBBLE GOO...that leak.

From a previous post.
Set your security to "MEDIUM" and not HIGH.
-
Tried "Refresh". Still doesn't work.
Then you might check your "Security Settings" to see if you are allowed to run ActiveX controls. I have to have mine enabled to make mapquest work and show that red star at the cache site.
I have Windows 2000...
Tools
Internet options
security
Custom level
Run ActiveX controls and plug ins
If you have XP or something else...Check these security settings against someone's computer that is working. or maybe someone here can post their settings.

I have a 60Csx and whenever I replace the batteries, I have to recalibrate the compass...and it even says so in the manual under "Calibrating The Electronic Compass".
If I don't do that I get funky readings.
When you see the compass...press "MENU".
Mine shows this in the menu display.
SIgnt 'N' Go
Stop Navigation (This means I'm using Resume Navigation)
Recalculate
Course Pointer (This means I'm using Bearing Pointer)
Data fields
Change Data Fields
Calibrate Compass
Restore Defaults.

Whether Trackble or not...I always move them on.

Background info: After not using the geocaching website for a few months, I now cannot get the MapQuest map to expand as previously. I used this feature a lot to help locate cache sites.
Upon further exploration, I find the same thing when using MapQuest site directly. All the ads show up, and the grid to move around the map, but no map itself. And, there is an error message at the bottom. I have followed directions to adjust setting and configure my computer, but to no avail.
Cannot figure out why it would work before, and not now. Any ideas?
I've had that happen too sometimes. I just click "Refresh" at the top and usually the map shows up then.
-
Well Done....Congratulations.
-
Sorry then....
I disable the ActiveX on mine and the Red star would go away the next time I started IE and map quest....then would come back when ActiveX was enabled.
I'll see if I can find an XP maching......
