  1. So you're the one that caused the stapler mishap!  :P The truth comes out!

Rats! I didn't think he would notice that I swapped staples on him. You can't be too careful with amateur stapler guys, load the high-powered rounds and they get all nervous.

  2. But, what they aren't telling you is that I was up on the same 25 foot later that Harmon had fallen from and broken his ankle.

I just want to clear up one thing once and for all. It was a twenty-five foot EXTENSION ladder and I fell from forty-eight feet.

    I felt my pain.

  3. Harmon working hard directing the installation.

Rats! pictures don't lie. No, wait, that's not right.

Sure is fun for an old guy to watch younger guys do all the work.

Hey! gimme a break, I loaded the stapler when it ran out.

  4. Does anybody know who these guys are and what they are doing or where they can be found!?!?!?!! Never hurts to ask!

The three Sopranos? Four bottles t' go.

No wait, now I've got it. Take a look at this photo and you'll know what they were up to and where to find them. Yeah, just look at 'em grin. Too bad they had t' wait in line.

    Thanks Kawikaturn,

    Harmon

  5. Does anyone know where all these bloody butterflies came from, and what on earth they're all doing here? I could hardly see through them to drive to work this morning!!

It's the spring hatch of the Painted Ladies. Ruby May my red Explorer is now yellow from b-fly guts.

The abundant wildflower and grass crop this year is driving an unusual cycle of not only butterflies but rodents, snakes, hawks, and Geocaching sapiens.

  6. Wanted to thank,,,,I think, everybody who expressed Birthday greeting to me. Better make it short though, have to get to bed, 60 IS OLD ya' know.

A special thanks to my good buddies, Harmon, who knows more than he should; and my fellow Geobabe, Splashette. Also HelBobduo for the kind words.

  7. Happy Birthday $kimmer!

I hope you like the (had to keep it top-secret) gift that you got!

O please. $kimmer picks her own gifts doesn't she?

Hey, I'm just keeping a promise I made to Vulture not to tell $kimmer! But I think that she knew that I knew that she knew, but I still never said nuthin'!

That's a really smart approach you've taken. It's kind of sweet that $kimmer let Mr. The Vulture pretend that he chose her gift.

Take it from an old guy, there's just two things you can say to a lady that won't get you into some kind of trouble; "Yes ma'am," and "Navajo White."

So far I'm having all the fun with $kimmer's new toys. She hasn't yet received her PDA so I'm still on standby.

  8. I've been meaning to ask, what do paperless Geocachers wipe with?

Isn't that what those stashnotes are for?

    3bc35930-9842-4c75-aacf-8b994a919a19.jpg

Aha! so that's where those darned things have been going.

I'll stuff a new supply into cowboy number seven. That should be lots of fun in an emergency.

  9. I've been meaning to ask, what do paperless Geocachers wipe with?

    Their Palms of course!

    Bada-bing! now I'm playing straight-man for TrailGators.

Well, I did owe him one didn't I?

How long has that joke been around in th' paper-less crowd. From the beginning no doubt. Just call me Mr. Out-of-the-Loop.

I'll be quiet now. Got t' get away from th' ranch now and then.

  10. Any hiking cachers in the group that have been up Mt Whitney?  I may have an opportunity to climb it later this summer and I'm wondering what I'm up against.  Climber X or Borrego Bill perhaps?

Edit: after looking at GC75C3, it seems that NCad and KJsJoys have been.  Do they visit the forums though?

Compared to other High-Sierra hikes, Whitney is a cake walk. Besides, half of it is downhill.

  11. Are you telling us Skimmer is 60???  She hides it well.

Hey! sixty never passed my lips. $kimmer would kill me if I let that out.

If y' must, put th' blame on Mr. The Vulture. He was the one that selected black party balloons.

One thing for sure, it isn't easy keeping up with that ol' gal when she's on the trail after a nest of new finds.

    Harmon,

I think $kimmer is going to kill you!

The Vulture ate all of the black frosting balloons on the cake and resembled a Chow!! Very funny, he kept showing off his tongue! (it was kinda of like all of the

'oops, I left my blinker on again episodes') He couldn't stop!

    Splashette

Now wait just a minute Splashette, my innocence is as pure as new-driven snow. Of course you are quite right about Mr. The Vulture and the black tonque. Creepy I say.

I stayed near the corners of that cake after he started slobberin' all over th' middle. Who would have expected him to start lickin' the black balloons up while they were still attached to the cake? Yuck.

Besides I'm setting up $kimmer's new Geocaching toys so I figure that I'm safe until I have to give all that stuff back to her. Her Palm Zire 31 should show up in the next couple of days so maybe I'll have her in the paperless business by Thursday.

I've been meaning to ask, what do paperless Geocachers wipe with?

Rumor has it that you and she are running off with a bunch of Geocaching studs later this week. I swear, you two GeoBabes are really something.

    Astonishing,

    Harmon

  13. Shh, not a word to $kimmer until tomorrow. I'm going to see her tonight.

By th' way, that's Carpenter from Hell and DennisB doin' their thing. They wouldn't let me be in th' picture.

What's in it for me?

Too late. A little bird named Splashette ratted me out. You were right, a tongue lashing ensued.

The best part was that there were thirty-four of us at the birthday party and everybody had a chance to see the Forum birthday greeting.

Happy birthday $kimmer. How d' y' really feel about growing old?

    Oh goodie! Time for a tongue-lashing!

I know it can't be Moon or Entwistle, so it must be Daltrey and Townsend back at the ranch!

They were doing the same thing several years back while singing "Won't Get Fooled Again" or something like that....

By the way, that is RM's secret method of finding a cache! It really works!!!

  15. Gobolt, do you know if View to the Stars has working hours? If 24/7, we'll visit it after Treasure Tree #6.

    It's 24/7

I did View to the Stars last month, and it is not off-limits after hours. Just park at the coordinates off the road, and wander about the observatory complex for a bit. All the scopes are closed, but the wps are not. It's a fun one!

Whoops....just realised that I'm logged in on my brother's account. Stupid auto-logger function!

Definitely a worthwhile Geocaching adventure. There's a surprising number of telecope buildings. Also you get a bird's eye view of Morris Ranch.

It's an easy and pleasant walk from the parking lot to the cache locations. It's even better on a Geohorse.

  16. "Howdy Folks, what brings you out this way?" Them people turned an looked at me with big grins showin an started yellin things at me. I couldn't believe my ears. It sounded like they was yelling things like Tuppawar, ammo can, an somethin that sounded like...

    Gee-oh-cashn. <_<B)

Shoot, that must of been Carpenter from Hell out roundin' up Tullock's strays. I'll check it out in th' mornin' after biscuits.
