  1. So what if a cache in my area has been disabled for over a year? (not do to closure but due to the fact they just never got it up and running) Can I report those somewhere? I understand being busy but for a year??
  2. Our best day was 30 when we took a trip to Pocatello, ID. But we were sooo worn out by the end of the 8 hours. We decided we liked doing about 5-10 per day and not more because you can't remember all the caches and it just wears you out!!
  3. Besides going paperless sooner..... I would have researched the caches I was going to find to make sure the last few people found them before I started to look for them. Usually if there are three DNF in a row, it's not there. Of course, you have to judge the difficulty also. Could have saved a lot of time just quickly checking to see if the last couple of people found them.
  4. That is actually how we got started geocaching. Being poor college students at the time, we would just google earth them. (bought the gps a little bit later) It took us a little longer but most of the hints helped alot! Even if you have a GPS, they are still hard to find sometimes.
  5. I'll have to do some searching for that particular one I saw. I just tried to discover our geocachers evolution just for a test and I'm not seeing it as an icon yet on the discovered side. I'll see what happens.
  6. I didn't even think of this as an option but we noticed some geocacher that had activated all their own coins and then discovered them all too. Is this normal or do they just want more icons? Just wondering what other people think.
  7. My request is simple, but not necessarily simple to get. Seeking: 2007 Compass Rose - Gold 2007 Compass Rose - Two-tone Available: Geo Credit Card(currently going for more than $20 at the e-place) I'm willing to throw in a little boot(cash) as well. Please email if interested. Thanks
  8. Did you get our order for a set?
  9. Sorry I've been slow post about this coin... I have (3) Kiss Me, I'm Irish Utah event coins to trade for one of each of the other events- Alabama, California, New Jersey First Come, First Served Thanks, Jerandjana
  10. This is probably the biggest single reason I started the Geocoin-info.net site. I wanted to give people a listing of sites to check before jumping into an auction for a coin that is still being sold at a set price. There's a sucker born every minute, but there could be a bigger gap of time if people did a little research before they buy. Thanks a ton for this site. We just started collecting and it is exactly the info we need. Thanks!
  11. OK two things~ rjb43nh. Don't you think if you put STF that would be enough said? Why do people have to gloat that they logged it first? and.. Aquacache~ that's very nice of you to wait for them to log it. We never have done that if the situation arose but now that I think of it, we'll probably do that too.
  12. I agree with everybody on the First to Find. We had our FFTF and drove the 30 minutes back to our house and by that time somebody had logged "Not first to find but first to log" Who freakin cares?? I don't even think there should be a FTL. If you want there to be no confusion, it's enough to say STF and leave it at that. Congratulations, your second to find, good job. But if you are stuck up about it and a bad sport, I think that's when people put FTL...... There are plenty of First to Logs that we had but of course we didn't say that in our log because it's irrelevant and obvious. I think FTL should be done away with? Anybody else agree?
  13. NOT another cache that's in such a public place where it's darn near impossible to "use stealth" and you almost give up because you don't want it to be muggled! I would have to agree with the Russian Olive tree also. Those things hurt.
