  1. Groundspeak and the reviewers have their own fun on April Fools Day. So watch out.
  2. What happened to the other April Fools day event. Was this a joke that no one post a Will Attend so the EO thought no one was coming then archived the event? If so that was mean. If not and the event is still on, let me know because we were going to go til we saw the Archive on it.
  3. Really don't understand. You found it why do you need to find it again. You can always post "write note" instead.
  4. I sometimes use the PQ from the corrected caches and drop it on Google Earth.
  5. You can also edit it to not show on your list
  6. Thank you all for the replies. Never thought of using the MC. I sometimes don't use it because the messages sometimes are out of order.
  7. Yesterday someone DNFd one of my caches. New cacher from 3/17/17 with Premium Membership and only one find. The cache they DNFd is a Wherigo. I was going to contact them to ask if they knew how to do a Wherigo guessing they only went to the posted coords. But they have no valid email. What is up with that?
  8. Yes, and so far off they have to post a spoiler photo. 2 in my area (1 was archived) over 150ft away. Posted directions on how to get to the location. The one still live (disabled) they tried to correct the coords because the reviewer disabled it, but the updated coords he moved to someone's backyard. Even if they correct the coords it is still about 100ft too close to another cache.
  9. Think this poster said WATCH not BOOKMARK. I had the same issue so I had to View on Geocaching to put it in my Watchlist.
  10. When a cacher submits a cache with coords way off so they can get a cache approved because it is too close to another cache.
  11. Agreed there are no offical rules but many believe there are. Before I ever got a smartphone I had no way to log a FTF or even an note when I found 2 FTFs on my way to work. The logs of the finders were close to being abusive. What didn't make sense is they found it not long after I did so what was the big deal if they were going to be there anyway. If you were after one on a hike with no reception you can't log til you are in service. If they log a note and forget to change to a find that is their issue. I prefer to log as a find and add "FTF more to come" til I can get to do a proper log. I recently found a FTF and some other cachers I knew showed up. I am not like some who are greedy and claim the FTF on my own. Some don't believe in co-FTFs but I see it as being a friendly gesture. During some events some hand out FTFs as prizes.
  12. That is so weird cause there is a puzzle in our area that is all about pokemon go.
  13. Thanks moun10bike. I was doing this from my iPhone and didn't see this
  14. Not near s computer to know if it's widespread but we can't log in from our iphones
  15. In the meantime you can try rechecking your cache to see if they were correct and if it is still there, you can just archive the DNF.
  16. So "•Inactive Member - has requested that their account be disabled" would read "Inactive Premium Member" if it was a PM who requested to be disabled?
  17. That statement is wrong. See this post (click here) for reference Hans Then they must have did this recently cause I couldn't get it to work. The other reason could be I have a 64bit and it is having problems letting me update
  18. This is what I do when a small group of us go after Puzzles with corrected coords. One I store them in GSAK with the corrected coords. Then I make a GPX with it checked to save the CC. Then I send it to my friends in an email. They must just drop it directly into their GPS without opening it in any other 3rd party program.

    Help

As I mentioned in another post. I am a premium member and found that the plug in for Garmin is useless. I haven't found a browser yet that supports it. I tried Firefox which I knew wouldn't, tried Windows Explorer and The Edge. None will work for me.
  20. The official app, for Android, is "Geocaching". You can find it in the Google Play store here You've probably realized by now, but your cache should be hidden before submitting the cache for review. Something to keep in mind for your next hide(s). I don't see anywhere mentioned their cache was not placed before publishing. They mentioned the cache had been found.
  21. It is practically useless now for Garmin. I use Firefox and they don't support the communicator plugin. They say to use Explorer. Well I tried Explorer and the Edge and it still won't work. I miss it so I can load just a few without having to load a whole PQ or GPX file. Sometimes I need to rush out and just want one. Now I rather take the time to manually enter the coords because I am frustrated on not being able to load it straight to the Garmin.
  22. It's the indicator that the coordinates are corrected. Please call GSAK's help file (F1) and search for "corrected". And again: Have you checked the coords? Hans How are you transferring or creating a gpx file? Not only do I have to make sure the puzzles are refreshed from GC but I have to make sure the box is checked to retain the corrected coords when I create a gpx file.
  23. If you zoom out it looks like paint by dots.
  24. Maybe nice for kids cause it looks childish but I thought most of us who play are adults.
  25. yes a greasemonkey is doing it but still we have never seen this before. So maybe GS still may have done something to cause one of the scripts to be able to see it.
