  1. They were bery nice and helpful with me and I think their quality is above some of the other companies. You just have to not be in a rush and know they have a lot of customers. But their response times to me when we were working on the design were great.
  2. I need at least 1 1/2". I saw that on the wooden nickel site, but they said that was if you ordered printed nickels too. I just wrote them to see if they would do it without an order.
  3. So I have my wooden coin blanks, and a stamp for one side. Now I just need a rubber stamp with some text around the edge and text in the middle for the other side. I looked online last night and even with St. Google I couldn't find any place that did something like that. Everything in a bigger round stamp was for inspection use. Anyone know of a place that makes it easy to order a basic rubber on wood round stamp like that?
  4. Without the card writer you can have one large map on your unit. The writer allows you to have several large maps and switch between them. Using the card utility area of the menu, you can save sets of waypoints. Since you can only have 500 loaded at one time, this allows you to carry around several PQs for different cities for example.
  5. Ack, I was hoping this thread would just slip away. We've been full for a while. I've been telling people that I would put their names on a waiting list so feel free to add your names here, but it may be a while til people start dropping out. Or maybe not when their spouses keep seeing coins in the mail.
  6. http://www.thredworks.com/geocache.htm
  7. I'm ordering 100, so the difference in price for me personally is $60. That's my basic incentive for not wanting the fancy edges. --Marky There you go, Marky's vote should count as 10. Seiously, I know there isn't really a fair way to do it, but it will affect people ordering large amounts more then people getting 1 or 2 coins.
  8. With a caching name like that I would imagine there are several original sig items you could make. And when you do, I want one.
  9. Wow, he should really contact the company. I assume that's theft.
  10. I don't care for the topics either, but since this has happened to 2 respected cacher I think the warning was valid.
  11. How long will I have to wait to make the "nice rack" comment?
  12. Is that state outline correct? or is that ballon thing on the upper right corner a mistake?? That's a bird. Guarding the HQ.
  13. I'll order 5 of those "STAND UP BE RECOGNIZED BECAUSE WE ARE GOLD" geocoins!
  14. Well you can't complain to us about that. We trade with each other for these coins or buy them. About the only coins you'll see in caches are state and country ones. Wooden nickles are swapped like any other trade item, as are most personal coins.
  15. why are the people in the picture standing next to that wall ? That's a tidal wave!
  16. Canadian coins here. Texas ones here.
  17. No one is "ripping off" the Lance Armstrong foundation, except maybe for companies like this one. Adopting a successful idea for your own cause seems, well, common sense. I just don't get this kind of mentality. If you raise money for a charity, non-profit, etc., what's the harm? Geez, man, it's just a bracelet. Yup, all the copycats have turned it into just a bracelet.
  18. I believe it is around $1.50-$2 per coin. That's a lot of money to know who's collection it ends up in.
  19. I would vote for no fancy edge. Yes it's only .60 for it, but then that's like getting a free coin with every 5 you order if you don't have it, and it won't do anything to the actual design.
  20. I see they did the Alabama Geo coins. Did our coins too. I like those guys. Just a bit of a wait for final production. Seems like they are getting a good rep and a lot of business.
  21. I've dealt with KV, Pressed Metal and D & R Coins personally. I had good experiences with KV and Pressed Metal. With D&R I felt like I was begging them to take my business, they were slow to respond, and didn't respond well when I asked for changes to be made to designs they had done. I'm not impressed with the workmanship from some of the coins I've seen from other companies either. There is a reason some places are cheaper than others.
  22. Jeesh, all this arm twisting. I'll swap you for one of my personal coins.
