I'll place an order for around 100.

Hey, this is the same technique they used for the Colorado coin. Delay production until 50% of gc.com orders one.

Like momma always said, "Opinions are like ________ They're everywhere."
With that said, I feel you should place as large a container as you can in an area. Why put an waterproof match container along a trail when there's plenty of cover for an ammo box?
Cuz of this ---> !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So buy big tupperware.

On my individual account I have cached in 13 states. Does anyone care about that? No...all you care about is that I logged some dang caches that you didn't get to log because you weren't there that day. You know, the day I spent 6-12 hours walking around in the woods signing my name on logs or stamping my master cache sheet. You weren't there to see me scale the brick wall or walk across the creek on a fallen tree so that I could log a cache. You weren't there to see the mosquitos eating me alive as I stood breathing with the aide of an inhaler while climbing 500 feet up a steep incline. ..............
So? You get extra points for that??? Some caches you can reach from your car and some people have to camp over night because the hike is so long. One cache one find. There aren't extra points for the amount of work it takes. Temp. caches are just a part of the event.
I think it's been said best a few times. If it's not an approved gc.com cache, then why would you get "credit" for it on gc.com?

Being a little new, I'm not sure if you were making a joke about leaving food in a cache. I would hope so, but it happens.

I'd just like to point out with several suggestions for him to use a film can, that film cans are NOT waterproof either. Everyone that have found a soggy log in a film can raise your hand. Hey! Put your hand up, I know you have.

"Geowoodstock III" "Where it's all about the numbers"
Don't think they are really going to listen to any logic about temperary caches not actually being loggable gc.com caches.

Jeeps and geocoins are TB's and, in my opinion, are not trade items. I do not feel people need to trade for them.
Really? My coins aren't numbered or tracked. I made that decision so people wouldn't feel bad when they keep them.

In my neck of the woods (the middle of Los Angeles' urban sprawl), it's hard to find a good place for a micro, let alone a full-size cache. Thus, my choice is to place a micro or to not place a cache at all. If you are proposing to "severely limit" micros, then I am left with only the option to not hide a cache. I don't see how that accomplishes anything.
Ya ever think "not at all" might be a better answer?

Any cache has an audit log. So you can switch it to MOC, take a look and then switch it back. If you like.

Emailed my order and the check goes out tomorrow.

almost ready for a paypal option
If there is a paypal option coming I will wait. Otherwise I will be sending off my order Tuesday.
Thanks for everything Dillon Gang. You guys r0x0r5.
Oooh ya, I was going to send mine today or tomorrow, but I'll wait for that too. Unless there will added expense.

GeoCACHE It isn't just about wanting trinkets to look for, it's about there acutally being a cache of something. Otherwise it would be geoanythingforasmileying.

If orders haven't been placed, how do you know how many to order?
-
I bought Utah coins at two different times and added a best guess for shipping before there was anything on the page about it. Should I contact someone to see if everything is in order or would they email me if there was an issue?
Don't worry about it. I just sent them my address and another $5 to cover your shipping.

No news is good news at the moment. Wait a minute and an Alibags will be along to give us the latest.
Si
Now?
I thought demand might be more than the supply. That's why I had suggested acutally getting orders before having the coin made. Once it's up for sale, you're going to have people coming out of the woodwork to buy it.

Yup, we have 5 GPSs and two of them have the SD card and those are the two we use all the time. Not only just because they happen to be the easiest to use, but we live in a very cache dense area. When we take weekend trips, each city we might want to cache in, is a PQ all of its own because of the 500 cache limit. So we always have more than one cache loaded in our GPSs. Not because we will find that many, but because we cache on the fly just looking for caches that are around us, or that look interesting. It avoids the need to preplan caches for a trip.

Anyone else think it's odd for folks to be announcing they paid their shipping to the whole gc.com community in the geocoin trading thread?
-
There is a thread in the Travel Bugs section of the forums where people talk about swapping coins. Other wise you can just do a forum search for geocoins.
-
Trouble is I don't remember how many coins I bought.

Thanks for your patience! (Do I even dare mention that CR is working on a SC coin?)(STOP! Don't even THINK about asking for one yet!)
Well that's hardly fair!!

make the bridge smaller
bring the redwoods onto the state.
color the state gold - little less defined texture.
no fancy edge
recess the words on the circle back and front with color(trust me it looks cool)
might go to a silver finish - skip the fancy edge (sorry folks there was a tie and my staff at work voted to break it)
Yup.

How about instead of asking where it says you can't log any friggin thing you want to as a find, where does it say you can log non-gc.com approved caches on the site?
