Faycocache

So I’ve read extensively and even found geocaches that utilized a piece of PVC pipe in the ground and you must add water to get the cache to float to the top. how do these caches not violate the rules of hiding a geocache, more specifically the one that states you’re not allowed to bury a cache? Is this a grey area?

Has anyone had any luck with preface puzzle containers? I’m looking to spice things up in my area as a lot of caches have been archived over the last few years. I’m looking at some available containers on EBay/Etsy to try and change things up a bit. Anyone have any tips, experience, or insight on such containers?

I have noticed Garmin bought Delorme.. I have a PN 40 that I have used for years and I got a new computer. Where can I find the plug in to install on my windows 10 PC? Everytime I click the link on google it redirects me to Garmins new website with no downloads.

I only have two hidden caches one of which is under or in something and the other is in plain sight. If you camo your container up good enough nobody will even notice it. When I first started caching two years ago, I looked at the map and was utterly amazed at how many geocaches I had walked by.. literally right by them in plain sight. If your not looking for one, odds are your not going to find it easily.

If I have a log book with me I will replaced the baggie and the log book. If I don't have a log book and baggie with me, I will mark it as needs maintenance when I get back home and am logging my finds for the day.

While out today, I came upon a cache that had multiple tube of super glue as swag... needless to say they were removed and disposed of properly. Who would leave super glue as swag?

If I see something that I feel like doesn't belong, I simply remove it and never say a word about. Almost every item I removed goes straight to the trash and is never thought of again. I always try to replace with something though, even if I remove a bad item.

When the weather is bad out, I go to the "high muggle area" caches to get them, seeing that I'm the only one out there the chance of a muggle seeing me is far slimmer.

Okay, so a local cache in my area has been archived due to the owner archiving it for not having time to manage it. Is there anything in the rules that I'm not reading that says I can't set a cache where the one once was? It was a very very fun cache, that had a nice terrain setting and is very important to local history. I would love for people to keep visiting the area and reading about a little bit of history. Thank you.

So I used my GPS to geocache in the past and had no problems with clicking the button to send over cache information to my GPS.. Now I get it back out to use and it for some reason it wont send information over even though I have followed all the guides. Im using firmware 2.6.224602 and on the Delorme plug in site it says, Ensure a geocache file is open on your device before you click send to device. Can anyone explain that last step to me? Last time I used it I had no problem plugging in and going. Thank you!

I'm going to be going back soon thankfully. Might look for it again this week if I can get the time.

One of them was a "small" and the other was a "regular". I'm going to back next week and check again. I might have overlooked them. I was pretty excited from still finding my first one. We found 2 more today. One was rated really hard, but it wasn't bad.

True its hard to tell. We combed a pretty wide area looking for it. I took my cousin and little brother along with me, and we just couldn't find them at all. Were definitely going to hit them again on a better day.

Completed my first caches today! Went 2/4, the 2 I couldn't find however the people before hadn't found either. Muggles maybe? Anyways glad to be here, I'm going to have a lot of questions with this Delorme Earthmate PN-40!
